In my opinion, the only thing disrupted here is the aesthetic and uniqueness of the old bikes. They had something to them that just made them stand out from the rest of the bikes. The blockiness, the stubby rear section and the single straight line connecting the handlebars to the rear end. All these were distinguishing features of the huskies. Now these bikes look like any other generic bike in the market. The curvy aesthetic just doesn't suit the image of the huskies. While the lower seat height and the bigger fuel tank are justifiable, why would anyone at KISKA wake up and decide it's a good idea to elongate the rear and then smoothen all the lines out??? In fact one of the most defining features of the old bikes was the short tail and the swingarm mounted number plates. Now these new models just gel in with the rest of the crowd. There is nothing to write home about these new bikes. This generation brings with it a major disappointment and a rather sad moment to bid adieu to an era lost to eternity 😔

When i Heard the 401’s are coming to India i was excited but seeing the new model and they’re just bland . It has lost its uniqueness

They completely ruined the design. I absolutely love the look of the first gen vitpilen 401 (the short tail section, the seat almost at the same hight as tank and handlebars, and the blocky simplistic look), but appearently this made it a bare bones cafe racer with excentric design, that, even though it turned heads, not so many people actually liked to buy. So from a economic standpoint i understand why they are making the new ones more appealing to a wider audience, but at the same time they destroyed all its character an uniqueness. I'm just glad i bought the original vitpilen 401 2018, and i will never sell it because a bike like that will probably never be made again.

@@OutLw-xy2qv It's the same for me. When I saw the new model, I just thought it was time to buy one of the old ones. The local dealer still had 2 in stock and was sitting on them. (They also had one svartpilen) The new bikes seems to fix what caused poor sales for the old vitpilen 401s. But they are sadly a somewhat different bike as a result.

Right. Maybe more new commers who never saw the old version of pilens, but these are not really for pilen fans. I will stick to my 2021 Svartpilen 401 for few more years suffering small fuel tank. I just hope the new fuel tank can be installed on mine in somehow.

I was waiting for years for the 401s to come to India, especially after watching so many videos of Yammie Noob going gaga over the 401. When I saw the new model, I immediately lost all my excitement and even tried searching for an older 250, but I just can't find one thats not second hand.

The tail spoils everything. What makes the previous gen look great was the short subframe. Guess my expectations have gone very high since the 1st gen.

KTM 390 is already there in the market and I never wanted to buy that. Was waiting for it after 250. But, now again I don't want to buy KTM 390 in the form of husq 401. The uniqueness and the charm of it is gone. The merge of those raw looks with sportiness in it, the blockiness, short framed rear fender, single frame from handle bar to the rear, etc. used to make it stand out of the crowd, but now it's like any other bike in the market. Waited one year to buy this bike, now will go with the 250 old one since 401 is not available in India. Hope the old ones are still available in the market.

Thumbs to husky engineers for making bikes more practical. I love the overall design and added features. Those who are complaining won't be buying bikes just freaking out on internet.

Well…I was considering the Vitpilen, then I saw the 2024 model and bought the 2022 model right away. ‘24 looks great but I feel it’s lost the uniqueness the Vit had.

This is far closer to the first gen Vitpilen 701 than the previous 401 was. So, this is more like going back to the roots, I think.

I like how everything bad is fixed and improved The bad fuel tank, low clearance, no screen and a few minor issues Gone😤 The only thing I do miss is the short tail with the rear fender and the blockiness😔

Very very disappointed with the New Design. I love the lowered seat height, new bigger tank, extended wheel base but shouldnt have extended the rear seat. It looks so WEIRD now, God damn it!!!! KISKA why did you have to ruin these beauties. Definitely wont be going for these new gen models, will be going for the old gens models

Why don’t they make a supermoto version ?! KTM, GasGas and Husky only have the 350 enduro. Why not making a maintenance friendly supermoto with that new engine ? Would be a piece of beauty and fun I’m sure !

Its been in the US for years sense like 2018 for about 6 thousand . you can get the 2023 for cheap if you don't mind the crappy gage display and gas tank.

Husky, if you seeing this, CUT THE DAMN TAIL SECTION SHORT AND BRING BACK THE TYRE HUGGER... Just carry in the Svart 801 aesthetics and that'd work just magnificent without a speck of doubt. A husky won't ever be a husky without those quirks. Believe me, the normie seat that sticks out beyond the rear wheel (I get it, more seating space, but geez don't let it stick out that much?) and the absolutely normie mud guard, just kills the whole progressiveness in the design. Acts like an axe to its own feet... Or should I say a bullet wound from a musket, instead.

For me front of the bike still has a unique character but the rear looks nothing like a futuristic unique bike. When you look at the side photo it really isnt that charming. New bike is better technology wise but the design of the tail and the seat is make you think twice if you are going to buy a husky for the first time. I waited a long time to see what will 2024 bring but this was not it. If I can get the tft screen I would rather buy a older model.

Hago este comentario x si puede ayudar a alguien. Tengo la svartpilen 401 2024, tiene 6 meses y 6900 km. En ese tiempo no he parado de perder tornillos y he entrado 3 veces en garantía. 1 x el tubo akrapovich q literalmente se me ha caído a cachos y se me ha agujereado, otra x pérdida de aceite x parte del sensor de marcha y x último x pérdida del sensor d bujía q me dejó tirado y me han tenido q abrir el motor entero. Son motos muy divertidas y bonitas xo la calidad es pésima...x lo menos la mía. Espero q esta info ayude. Saludos

2024: R.I.P. Husqvarna (Vit/Svart)pilen 😢 Huge disappointment!!! How did you manage to downgrade the bikes which were so unique? Ugliest "updates" of 2024 for sure. It's always like that. I have grown up to buy Ducati Monster - they ruined the whole model completely. I have decided to buy Vitpilen 401 for city commuting and easy tracking - KTM totally demolishes unique bikes. I hope I will be able to buy 2023 model still...

It's a better and more refined bike, but like many said it became just another generic naked bike. Honestly the new Vitpilen looks awful, keep the fender and tail in white and get back the spoked wheel. Change that horrible font on the tank too.
