Hello, it was shown that a dish with G2 medium was prepared on the morning of Day 3. Then Another dish, with G2 was prepared, on Day 4 in which embryos were put on Day 5. What had happened with the prepared on Day 3 G2 dish?

Hello! Thank you for your comment and question. The dish that is prepared on the morning of Day 3 is equilibrated for at least 6 hours (see text on screen). This means that on Day 3 you have assessed the embryos in the morning, decided to do Blastocyst culture and then made a G2 PLUS dish to transfer them into as soon as it is equilibrated. The embryos remain in this G2 PLUS dish from the afternoon of Day 3, all of Day 4, and the morning of Day 5. Once you assess the embryos on the morning of Day 5, you transfer them into the G2 PLUS dish that was prepared on the afternoon on Day 4 (overnight, see text on screen) where they will remain for the rest of Day 5 and Day 6 if needed. Hope this answers your question, if not please don't hesitate to contact us again. Best regards, Vitrolife

No sterile Gloves! big risk of contamination
@Vitrolifetube Жыл бұрын
Hello, Many laboratories do not wear gloves as a routine while preparing dishes or handling embryos. The reason is that gloves from many manufacturers are actually embryo toxic and accidently touching the dish on the inside or the pipette tip, my transfer this toxicity to the media. Many laboratories also find the feeling of the gloves as a risk to properly hold on to the dish. In cases where laboratories do not wear gloves, they have a very strict and approved hand washing protocol before handling dishes to prevent any possible contamination. Another reason gloves are not worn in this video is because it is a demonstrational video in a fictional laboratory. Kind regards, The Vitrolife Team
