There is a continuation of absolute beauty and genius from ancient Greece to somewhere in the Nineteenth Century that constitutes European culture.

Vivaldi é o compositor mais visualizado no you tube.

You are amazing! such an amazing analysis... but I still have a certain love for Bach music too.

Convincing, but Telemann is my hero.

I was at a concert where many Baroque composers were featured and Telemann sounded wonderful, no argument with you, although for well over fifty years The Red Priest has been and remains central to my being.

@@jonswanson7766 I was at concert with the orchestra under Goebel's direction. They played Telemann. And it was outstanding [Berlin Filarmonic]. The live performance is always great, no matter what they play. If they are a good ensemble of course. PS I adore Telemann.

@@IspirazioneBaroccaS I love the Italians, Vivaldi, Tartini, Locatelli, yet I must say in any conversation about music, Prokofiev must be mentioned, the Russians have such an important position in the world of Culture! Anyone with a sensibility towards ballet knows that there is the Kirov at the pinnacle and a few others with merit.

Bach's and Vivaldi's music are worlds apart. I don't understand how you can call Bach Vivaldi's pupil. It's all subjective in the end. Some prefer the fiery, plain and passionate music of Vivaldi, while others prefer the more complex, refined (in my humble opinion) and elaborate music of Bach. For me, Vivaldi's music doesn't bring me to the spiritual climax that Bach's music does.
@jonswanson77662 жыл бұрын
Bach learned counterpoint from transcribing Vivaldi violin concertos to harpsichord. Bach's son wrote of his (Bach's) love and admiration of the Red-headed Priest!
@@jonswanson7766 Still doesn't mean Bach was Vivaldi's pupil.

@@jonswanson7766 Some fellows adore Bach so much, that are blind to face the simple facts. Bach learned from Vivaldi. Moreover, Bach learned even from Telemann )
