Lowering springs are great if you want a cheap way to give your car a better stance, and possibly better handling. Depending on the car and spring, however, handling can be hurt by lowering springs if your dampers are not up to the task. Coilovers are a much better option as they control your car much better and give you lots of adjustability.

This is very good explanation & after listening to you I've decided that the best thing for my car are the coilovers because my car is a 21 Tlx Type-s so my struts & shocks are new so I don't want any strain on them that springs could possibly cause, plus I really like the adjustability

First off, really excellent intel and a well-done video; more solid info and less jokes than most others, which I appreciate. The majority of my miles on my Mk7.5 GTI S model are spirited/fun/fast driving on smooth country roads. Any thoughts on the H&R VTF adjustable lowering springs? Would you say they'd offer a marked improvement in handling over non-adjustable springs? I'd figure that with them cranked a bit lower, the ride would be harsher. Am I right? Not sure I "need" coilovers, but money isn't that much of an option. Thanks for the video and for any suggestions or thoughts! Keep up the great work.

It will depend on the spring rate of the lowering springs, height will not effect the spring rate. A stiffer spring will improve handling and same with lowering the center of gravity. So, yes, the H&R springs will significantly improve handing and allow you to achieve your desired ride height without the need for coils. Coilovers will be the ultimate upgrade for handling but lowering springs will get the job done. Thanks for watching!

So if you replace the oem adaptive suspension like the Supra and add the after market coilovers is it still gonna react like the oem meaning if I put it into sport mode is it gonna stiffing the ride as it was made to do ?

3:09 lol I live in NYC and that’s on point! Question I want to lower my Lexus 16’ IS300 AWD. It’s currently 32k miles everything stock. I was looking at the RSR super down. Would you recommend?

It's a struggle 🤣 and RS-R is one of the leading lowering suspension companies so we totally would recommend!

I'm torn honestly. I'm rocking a project daily driver, Accord Sport MT 1.5L, performance mods including sway bar, exhaust etc... and not sure on coils vs springs. I track my car once a year, but also have to comply when my 2 year old twins tell me to drive faster. I've only got 33K miles. Any suggestions would really help.

Get a middle of the road coilover would be our suggestion. Tein, BC racing, or Megan are great options

Is there a way to improve both, ride quality and handling over any stock suspension, by installing coilovers? How much of a ride quality improvement is found with the smaller assist springs in combo with the main spring?

Stock camber adjustment should be enough to correct it!

@@vivid_racing I just bought Eibach swaybar kit + springs, do I need endlinks too please? Sorry I'm very noob at tuning I don't know if endlinks and camber kit are the same thing ^^'
