Unfortunately people are still brand blind. Until they get more noticed globally they won't release globally. Despite the fact ive been using a Xiaomi for 5 years, my mates just know its a chinese phone, not a Xiaomi.

I've owned several Chinese phones exclusive to Chinese market without any major issues in North America. If you can live without Android Auto, and some other small quirks, everything else works fine.

If you want natural looking photos with less sharpening, select natural mode. I have been using this for about a week. It's just phenomenal, and I don't even miss my s23 ultra

@fimon0508 The x100u is far better, especially in low light. The s24u is comparable, but still I'll give the edge to x100u. Just watch the comparisons between those two

I believe Vivo is using a different technology on X100 Ultra for battery. I'm guessing that's why there's a lower wattage adaptor

The battery adopted the single cell design that's way has lower speed than the pro. I think they opted for larger capacity by implementing single cell design.

There is a swell of complaints about the *automatic* lens switching when moving closer to the subject, for it screws up the framing/lighting/composition of the shot. This happens on X100 Pro but I would not want this issue on the Ultra as it would be a show-stopper for me. Any testing done on the Ultra regarding this?

I'm looking for a versatile phone - ergonomics (not too big, but it's not most important), good photos (videos are not important), battery and good quality screen. I will be grateful for your opinion. Which one would be the best option.

The charging speed is lowered because of the silicon carbide battery used I believe , unlike the dual battery design on x100 pro which can charge at faster rates

Come on man, I was thinking you were a serious reviewer. First of all the battery with X100 Pro is Li-Ion which is older but matured technology which allows faster charging speed. X100 Ultra battery is Si/C which offer more mah while retaining smaller size. Also it is more durable and offers more charge/discharge cycles but at slight lower charging speeds compared to Li-Ion. Also X100 DOES have ultrasonic fingerprint sensor ... How you missed that I don't know.

" something I'd have known if I was covering this as a review unit, I bought my own unit, I couldn't find info on it... so I asked a question... you could explain it without talking down to me. Sorry if you think I played you down, I watch your reviews closely as many other people do and they are influenced by them to buy the product or not. I also bought X100U with my own money, and I don't know how can you argue that its not using ultrasonic FP sensor when it does. If you check the official website you can see and all the other reviewers say that. It's the new Goodix fp sensor which will also come in array of upcoming flagships like OnePlus 13, X200 Pro, Xiaomi 15 Pro.. Keep up the good work bro ❤ just check some facts first if unsure

I am not arguing the X100 Ultra doesn't, I mention it does... read your comment... I was replying to you saying the X100 does... the x100 & pro had optical scanners... I think you misunderstood what I said in this video... I'm only saying the X100 Ultra does not have the iqoo 9 pro's tap once and scan kinda ultrasonic scanner - its wider and scans over a larger area... it has a standard ultrasonic scanner (feels weird to call it standard, but I hope you get what I mean)

Hey Ash , man pls do video graphy capability tests on flagships or camera centric androids or pit them against iPhone as a benchmark.....most agree still photos are better or similar in Android but God knows Video taking capabilities of iPhone triumphs Android flagships since the dawn of time.......pls give this feedback a THOUGHT...thanks !! I like that Vivo now allows you to shoot in DV at 4K30 with all the lens and allows for smooth switching. I'm not sure how many people are actually using DV on a regular basis Also, I LOVE that telephoto camera, still waiting for some madlad OEM to use a 1" sensor for the telephoto too.

vivo ultra does not use lithium battery, so could be the difference you notice with charger specs

Good smartphone, but released too late, and above all, it is not really better than the Vivo X100 Pro or the Oppo Find X7 Ultra which currently cost less than it, without even mentioning the fact that smartphones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will be released in 3 months at most. Ps: without forgetting that we went from an X90 Pro+ which managed to maintain more than 95% performance in stress tests and gaming, to this series of Vivo X100 which barely maintains 60% performance, losing in the process the super 3D Sonic fingerprint sensor from Qualcomm 😮‍💨

Let me guess, another X100 Pro user that can't deal with the Ultra being a far better phone than the one they currently own. Maybe you need to recheck the X100 Pro Specs. X100 Ultra... .
