What you are talking about at 5:19 is not a bug, I think Vivo has finally understood, and like Apple, is applying electronic/digital stabilization in post-production. This has always been one of the big mistakes made by Android manufacturers when it comes to video, they want to do everything during video capture, which is currently impossible, no processor embedded in a smartphone is capable of doing this, Apple understood this very well and quickly, which is why during capture, iPhone videos seem not to be stabilized, the information (images, colors, textures, gyroscopic data, etc.) are first recorded and then processed 🤷🏽‍♂️ Ps: that's a bit what Google is trying to do with its "Video Boost" on the Pixel 8 pro.

@@RennieAshnot always, sometimes while recording video it looks like it has slight hiccups and glitches (if you pan/move device very fast, or zoom quickly, for example) but as soon as you preview video in gallery - it's ironed out.

I really enjoyed this review. Would you be able to do a review of the video camera please. I'm solely interested in the video camera: does it shoot in log, various modes, ultra wide, etc. You already mentioned very briefly that the Ultra wide angle is not so satisfying, which is a bit of a let down. Hopefully a software update improves this. Thank you for your review.

The release cycle has not changed much, actually. vivo used to release 2 phonees every year, now just cut down to one. Most people buy phones on 618, not 1111 (because new models will be coming in 2 months) so I think this is the correct strategy, and in my experience, the latter model was always better (of course) so it sold very well. But imo, people who buys vivo tends to stick them for their next phone as well, so I don't think this is bad strategy, and their pro series, which can undercut xiaomi and oppo, is doing very well this year, so business wise this is actually very smart

I love those new tele lens that allow to take distance macro photo, on this and pura 70. Wish they have the brave to bring back the microscope lens, which is really fun to use. I bought Find X3 pro just for that lens, and it's a shame that they abandon it. Glad to see these new macro/tele lens trying to catch up

Awesome video. I thought it was just a preview but it's a whole review. I personally don't agree with processor being in danger of being outdated since if nobody told you you wouldn't know the difference between this and previous version and next version.. but for me it's too bad it doesn't support Android Auto and chat GPT login.. so I cannot buy it.. if it did I would buy it immediately.

Used Vivo X100 pro, as much as I like the leaps and bounds Vivo and Oppo made in mobile phone photography, but TBH the video quality is subpar with frame drops all the time unless you always you 60fps or shoot in well lit conditions.Secondly, the AI of the phone can't distinguish hair strands falling off the face,smoothens out some, leaves the rest,besides beauty mode baked in is so aggressive that even if turned off with no filters,no beauty,no AI portrait photos of human subjects in indoors and partially outdoor especially in below average lighting conditions will smoothen out the face as if you applied foundation and make up. I love how Chinese manufacturers are trying to bring better hardware, but software needs work.Funtouch OS is bland but functional,Origin OS is stable and nice,but doesn't cater to the western markets where the skin may not be preferred by some and Android auto and OK google will be missed

On a sensor not even 1/4 of the Size this vivo has. You can crop to 7times digital zoom on the Vivo and that digital crop is still a 50MP 1/2.8 Sensor, while sony at 7Times is an 12MP 1/3.5 sensor.

Don't forget this phone is beta software. With updates it'll be amazing. Also it has bigger battery, 2K WQHD screen, better cameras & better speakers so it's a worthy upgrade from the x100 pro

I have said a gazilion times the same about Oppo Find X6 Pro.... the face detection in all modes all cameras is ridiculous, looking for faces all the time and ramping up the exposure just because there is a face. face detection exposure raising should be removed all together

The message notification (exclude the native message app) got delayed (by a lot) or in some cases, no showing up at all The most common solution is to turn off battery saver for that specific app and allows every permissions (which decrease the battery life and phone "constantly" in warm temperature)

Good smartphone, but released too late, and above all, it is not really better than the Vivo X100 Pro or the Oppo Find X7 Ultra which currently cost less than it, without even mentioning the fact that smartphones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will be released in 3 months at most. Ps: without forgetting that we went from an X90 Pro+ which managed to maintain more than 95% performance in stress tests and gaming, to this series of Vivo X100 which barely maintains 60% performance, losing in the process the super 3D Sonic fingerprint sensor from Qualcomm 😮‍💨

Truth, vivo came late to the party, most of all flagships has this cpu since January, i am very skeptical to spend 1000$ for 6 months old cpu. Realme GT5 Pro has the same the cpu for 500$. I think the Vivo X100s Pro with the Dimensity 9300 Plus for 750$ is better choice, are you gonna review that one?

The lens doesn't fog. I have the phone 2 weeks already heavy camera usage and hot to cold environment. Also our beaches at night are high humidity and still didn't get foggy. Those people read reviews and comment their own bs without even having the phone.

If this phone had either a variable aperture or a 2.5-3.5x zoom lens, this'd have been the best phone of the year easily. Dunno how to feel about it now that it has no variable aperture or secondary zoom lens. The X100 Pro is global and does 90% of this phone's stuff. I'll wait for next year's Ultra, hopefully it'll be global. I'll buy it then.

I read and hear people interesting what cpu has the phone. Really??? Has anyone had problems with top phones performance? Nanoseconds faster one from another? Stop being victims. Focus on things that matter. Better visibility of screen in direct sunlight? Yes. Better portraits on medium light? Yes. A battery that last at least a day in a haviest day? Yes. Best Zooming in 15 or max 20X (which are the max zoom for a holiday photo you keep) Yes. But nanoseconds of faster performance No!!... Gen 3 won't be ancient when Gen 4 will be released. Vivo has an excellent build quality. My X90 pro plus was accidentally felt in to the road and a car passed over it, completely.!!!! All are fine (I had also a nice Xundd case which protected it). Cameras is a big selling point. Vivo is at top. But Vivo has bad marketing CEO!!! Needs better
