I've been really enjoying your content. You've helped me wrap my head around this whole ultralight backpacking thing better than many others. I'm looking for a new pair of minimalist to try and this video came at just the right time. Thanks for the great content.

Im glad to know the lack of stitching on the sole isn't a problem. I bought the Vivobarefoot Decon Low because the sole is stitched and glued. However they don't breathe well for desert conditions, and they are heavier than the Primus Trail, maybe too heavy for a barefoot sneaker.

Have you experienced the all weather version of the primus? Wondering if the quality is similar to the vivo tracker - how the synthetic material compares to the leather

As a trail runner, I think I’m confused about is why are they so heavy and I noticed a lot of the minimal two barefoot trail shoes are heavy than a regular shoe. It’s interesting they can lighten anything up that would be the greatest trail shoe ever but for me, it’s a minimal to short distance I want to go really long and real fast. I’m gonna go in something lighter usually that’s when I go with sandals.

Great video. Considering buying the Primus Trail FG III all-weather but not sure what the differences are between the Primus Trail FG II. Any recommendation?

do you suggest hiking with the normal classic primus lites that are used for road-running?

I also wear barefoot shoes, the company I tend to prefer overall is Vivobarefoot. I have been wondering if it is possible to long distance hike in barefoot shoes. I don't want to change my footwear style for a thru hike. Thanks for this video! 👍

Absolutely, as long as you’re used to wearing barefoot shoes. I always hike in Vivo’s in the BC mountains

Por supuesto, yo es lo que hago con mis Vibram FiveFingers que son prácticamente descalzas. Así, que con estos Vivo Primus que tienen mas altura al suelo y protección, no deberías de tener problemas.

Thank you for the video. Did you have to size up versus your normal size? If yes, how did it feel? It seems to be a very common problem with vivo owners.

Enjoyed the vid. How much space do you have at the front of your toe? Ive ordered a pair and im not sure how much free space i should allow for multiday hikes.

What do you like to wear for socks with these? I'm planning to make the switch to barefoot shoes this year and wondering if my beloved Darn Toughs can do the job or if I'll need to replace them.

@@chrismichael1161 in my experience darn tough socks are too narrow in the toe area just like most other socks. They negate the benefits of having a wide toebox in the first place. I prefer to either use toe socks or 50 denier women's nylon socks. The nylon socks are particularly good because you can just Wade through rivers and puddles without care as they won't really hold much water and dry damn quick. I'm completely anti goretex for hiking outside of snow season, and normally wear the most breathable shoe possible with extremely minimal socks.
