Unfortunately I have already purchased UK 9 when I needed UK 8 and I have worn them outside 🤦🏻♂️ just 10km so far. I will now sell them and recoup some money before ordering again! Great video. I just bought a primes lite. I was confused and your video was great! Especially when you showed where your big toe was in the shoes ;) The sizing table on the website is confusing, at the end I found out that the way to read the table is that the cm values are not your measurement, but the length of the shoe. So I take the cm size and I subtract a thumb and I should get my foot length. My foot is 26cm. On the table the size 42 is 27.6cm. At first I was like what?? But it just means the space in the toe box will be 1.6cm. I wear normally 42 and I bought a 42. I’m really like a 41 1/2 but they don’t have middle sizes. Apparently the foot will grow. I will see. Hope this helps other ppl too 😀🏃🏻

How did it work out? I just bought a pair of Vivobarefoot Addis and I feel like they are a tiny bit too big for me. My foot is also 26 cm, so I'm wondering if after a while your foot did grow bigger and your shoes fit better now?

@@pjd0ioas 11:17 I think the larger size is best ultimately. Especially if you like to keep wearing the removable insole or have a wider foot. And yes, the foot will begin to “grow” stretch/ widen out a touch for sure!! I had this problem as well. I purchased a few Vivos (Gobi, Geo Court, Primos Lite) in US size 8 (EU41) my foot is 26cm, and although they felt nice at first, I soon realized that they started to feel too tight and my big toe would hit the top of the shoe when walking (especially going down hill etc). So a size 9 (EU42) it is!! As for the Primus FG Trails, the size US 8 is perfect. Annoying that there’s a lack of consistency and the FG trails in size 8 are noticeably larger than the previously mentioned size 8’s. Hope that makes a little sense. It has been annoying for sure. But Vivobarefoot customer service has been a pleasure to work with.

@@shakebake2680I was going to ask this question if the Primus trails were also big or not because I'm right in between sizes, tried the 8 and 9 both and the 9 was way too big and the 8 seemed to fit but eventually my little toes began to rub the front sloped area. I was wondering if the magna series run even bigger than the Primus trail?

Just got my Magnas today. Shoes felt like they were the absolute perfect size, BUT my toes were getting squished at the top. Watched this, removed the thermal layer and they fit PERFECT. Thanks bud, saved me from stretching them or returning them

Hi, i would like to know how the Geo court mens shoe performed when you play tennis in it? Is its great for side/lateral movements? There isn't much info on this shoe being suitable for tennis on their website other than the fact that its more of a lifestyle shoe. Thanks for the great video and appreciate your detailed review :)

One Tech Traveller ah I traded mine in and then took a pair of the Tracker boots. Expensive but I am happy and hope they last a long time. Was very cross with myself at first because I tried it on in the shop without any people watching / time pressure, only to about 3 days later start thinking that I might have bought them too big, AGAIN! What is interesting is that it ends up it is not the boots that are as such too big- it was the type of Injinji socks I wore with it- the socks I guess could have been more tight fitting- also the material was somewhat slippery.. resulting in a sensation of a too big shoe. Switched to another type/(size?) of Injinji sock and all is good eversince.

Hello from the UK! I really appreciated this review, thanks a lot. I am currently wearing the Magna trail in my usual size and it is absolutely the same situation as yours, too big around the toe box and slightly too loose for comfort. I'll order a size down and let you know what happens :)

@@OneTechTraveller I just have a question I use luna sandals which are of usually 8.5 in US sizes that makes it 40.5 EU which one would you suggest to go for 40? or EU 40.5 I am planning to get Primus Trail 2 FG. I am just being cautious before ordering since I will be ordering all the way from India and want avoid the hassle of returning it and reordering the correct size.

@@OneTechTraveller Got the second pair yesterday. So, I normally wear a size 10uk and by watching the size guide on the vivo website 10 was my right size. When they arrived i felt the same as you. I felt way too much space on the toe. Tried the size 9 and they are small unfortunately. I feel like I need a 9.5 and I honestly don't understand why they don't make it. Weird =) I would like to buy a casual shoe but still unsure on what to get =)

Just had a look and weirdly looks like youre right. Strange why they did that. They have a sizing table instead but seems a step backwards to the size checker 🤔

How true to size are they? I’m interested in the Magna FG. I used the virtual sizing thing on their website. But it makes me feel unsure of how accurate it is. Im usually an 8-8.5 US size. But it recommended a 7. I guess worse case I’ll order the 7 and exchange for a size bigger if I have to.

Yea I think ordering 1 size smaller than your normal size is a good choice, I ordered the magna lite SG in my size but they feel bigger and uncomfortable and they aren't my first barefoot shoes either so I guess 1 size smaller will be good I now need to wait for their arrival

I own a pair of Vivos Primus Knit in 45 and they are the perfect size so I ordered the Stealth 3 in 45... but they were too small. Now I'm doubting on buying the Geo Court.

The geo court I had to +1 my usual size and -1 my magna trails. Sizing is certainly confusing and a shame it didnt follow the sizing kf your primus knit :/ i know returns can be a pain but they're service has been good. What did the shoe size checker on their site say? Keep being awesome, 1TT

@@OneTechTraveller according to their size guide I'm 45. The Primus Knit and the Scott Desert that I own from them are in that size and fit perfectly. Maybe I will order two sizes of the Geo Court and just return the one that doesn't fit.

My foot is 10 inches or 25.4 cm. It says I need a size 7 at 26.2 cm or an 8 at 26.9? I wear a 9 in Van's classics. These 9s are 27.6. Isn't that too much on the toe if I'm 25.4?

Hey Facts 👋 which shoe are you referring to, the magna trails or geo courts? The geo courts you can go true to size and the toe will feel more roomy which is normal but will fit well mid and towards the back. The magna trails is a tough one and i advise soze down because the mid height really makes it looser. Let me know which shoe and ill check dimensions when Im home buddy! Keep being awesome, 1TT

why do you care about size labels like a 9. There is no rule that says a 9 for one company is the same as 9 for another, not to mention different in US vs UK. Centimeters on the other hand are a real unit and the same everyhwere in the world

When you showed the vivo size recommendation it says US 9 not UK9.

Hey Ramblo 👋 Yes it shows US 9 for both of them which is a UK 8 - 8.5 (I get different translations from my different shoe brands measurements). Luckily this worked out for the magna trails after trying my usual size but runs too small for my geo court which is why I sized up to a US 10. Hope that helps Keep being awesome Ramblo, 1TT

Did you have to size down on the stealth III? That's definitely why I thought I should share my experience with the sizing to help people feel more confident when they order a pair of Vivobarefoot shoes so they don't have to exchange which may not be feasible ind ifferent larts of the world. I'm a size 9.5 in US, should I go for a size 10 or 9 for the Magnas?

My suggestion is the US 9, sizing down trends to be better to work with if the fitting isn't right. Can adjust with the leaving and insole. The larger will be too loose and will slide based on my experience. But check on their US exchange / return policy just in case it isn't the right fit that it'll go smoothly 👍

I'm stuck in between two sizes. The smaller size fits lengthwise perfectly but is too tight around my foot bridge and bigger size fits good around my foot bridge but is noticeably too long and feels and looks flappy. Do you think I can go for the smaller size and hope they'll stretch out a bit?

Hey there 👋 you could try removing the thermal sole and see how it feels for extra room to breathe in that area possibly? Is it the geo court or magna trail? Keep being awesome, 1TT

@@OneTechTraveller Indeed, if I remove the thermal sole the smaller size fits perfectly. The thing is; I bought these to be mainly used as winter boots. I'm afraid if I remove the soles my feet will be too cold. The same with wearing thinner socks... (Magna trails) Thx!

@@OneTechTraveller Dude. I am still having trouble figuring out myself. I had bought Primus Trail Fg. I commented on this a month back. Mine is like, lengthwise feels a little oversized without the insole and too loose around the bridge. I have to really tighten up my laces to feel compact and fitted around the ankles. So much so, that even when I tighten it up a bit too much, rocks , debris and stuff sneaks in on the trail. Even if I add the insoles, it seems like a perfect size lengthwise but I still need to really pull of the laces tight. Whoa. Did I just answer myself and it's best for me to size down ? But, I am skeptic about the length. I don't want the room upfront or width to be compromised. What do you think ? I don' t have the luxury to try different sizes here due to shipping and customs. I have to get it right here. Looking forward for your insights man! P.S. I intend to wear no socks + no insole.

Hey Garvit 👋 my bad if i missed your comment a while back! I'm on my rest in between workout sessions so here to give your comment the attention it deserves 😊 I feel you and for the low profile shoes its a tough one. The biggest giveaway if its too big or small is the bridge you mentioned and the need to tighten the laces. Because of that it will always feel too loose in that area. What you could try is looking at different lacing methods that could offer better fit around the area you feel loosest and so it doesnt need the crazy tightening you find now. It may not work but in your situation where shipping and customs is a barrier, see if this makeshift could be an option to work for it. If theres any stockist in your country that has them in shops try them out there. Otherwise best to get a refund and wait it out. If you are happy without the insole you could go size down without the sole if the length is too tight. But i know others that don't want to forego that in which case I'd suggest to refund and wait for the next opportunity you can try them out or its on sale. Let me know how it goes! I've tried vivo sizing guide states I'm a size 11 45 having received them my toes have about 25mm gap which is too much. Fit in general is fine it's just the toe box seems too long

If your feet doesn't slide and generally feels bad a good fit to your feet you'll be fine. How are you getting on? Otherwise a little extra thickness with socks may help. The wide toe box is by design so hope it works ok for you

Same. I’ve had vivo gobis and Primus lites in size 45, both perfect fits. Ordered size 45 Vivo Scott 4s and 25mm too long. Almost a full inch!

I sized down on the Magna Trails...result... Going down hill over rough terrain crushed my toes. Don't downsize!

Oh no! Hope your toes are recovering. Certainly a mixed bag when it comes to sizing due to the wide toe box and feet profile but I'm sure it helps others with feedback to try and find the right size for them! KBA

I'm exactly 26 cm long. Going size 10 leaves too much room. Idk what idiot of theirs decided to do away with half sizes but they lost a customer. Really wanted the Primus lites.

26 cm is way too small for 10 uk. i wear 10 uk at at around 28 cm foot length.. I remember years ago i had a the same problem, missing the half sizes.. but then as i started to wear barefoots only my foot kind of grew.. also, yes it took trying out (buying and selling ) quite a few pairs till i got familiar with fit and comfort and finally got my sizing down correctly. so some work and effort yes, but for me it was totally worth it. I love the barefoot feel and haven't known shoe discomfort for years now.

Sorry but it seems more like a review than a discussion about the size. It would of been better to have an experienced persons perspective. So someone who'd worn the shoes for a long period of time and gone through several pairs and knows what they're sizing is like as a brand and things to watch out for whereas this video seemed more like guess work. My favourite bit was towards the end wear you were making a size by size comparison with them on yourself. Perhaps come back to this in 2 or 3 years. Nice attempt though.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm sure someone else will come in and share their experience with people who have several shoes from vivobarefoot. 2 or 3 years is a very long time so there value in sharing my thoughts specifically to the magna trail and geo courts. I'm not a defacto person about sizing but certainly more voices help others understand the fitting better than others. I have separate reviews about the trainers incoming which covers a longer period of time, but if it's not to your liking im hoping others in KZfaq will help you will what you're looking for ✌
