the random clipping on the exterior is the large roof trim :) you can fix it by making the roof flush with the wall or choosing a thinner roof trim

I learned somewhere that if the roof clips into the house, it means that the ceiling is missing on some part. So I delete or put the roof piece aside and redo the ceiling for the room and it always fixes that problem for me.

I'm pretty sure you can do the spandrels straight onto a wall, and it auto deletes the wall, then you just add your columns to the side.

I think the big room on top could have been really cool as a shared bedroom between kids! Then kid clutter and toys could fill up empty spaces in the rest of the house :)

you can place a full wall, place columns, and then apply spandrels. it will automatically replace the wall only between the columns and it should apply the edging automatically as well
