As a South American we are absolutely not truly equal, we have a lot of racism and colorism issues in South America, and we had years and years of slavery and colonization and exploitation. Two huge silver mines in Brazil and Peru full of slaves. Columbia had a lot of slaves and Argentina had genocides of their indigenous and black people basically. South American past is just as bad as the rest of the world. And one of the worst thing is when people like you erase our issues bc it erases the struggle of afrolatino and brown Latinos. We are not equal, ignoring that is dangerous.

I would argue that FIFA didn’t give Messi the World Cup, I would argue that Argentina won the World Cup thanks the Argentine National Team. Again maybe I am wrong that’s not what you intended to say by that, but I don’t and wouldn’t know because there is no clarification or explanation what that means.
