Nicolas Cage, the Declaration of Independence, daddy issues, conspiracy theories, hot girl, villain with long hair... WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED IN A MOVIE
This was such a fun movie and I loved watching it, so thank you for choosing it! It was cheesy, fun and just a great time all around. I'm so happy there are more national treasures so we can ENJOY EVEN MORE OF THEM TOGETHER LOL
Words cannot describe the feeling this movie gave me but with time (and more national treasures) it will come to me. This was great and thank you all, I truly hope you enjoy and please tell me any fun facts, secrets, behind the scene things because this is one of those types of movies where I feel like there are a million there lmao
You guys are the best, my Nicolas Cage pillow agrees
Have a great day friends 🤗❤️

@vkunia if its air museums you like, try the Air Force museum in Dayton OH or the Pima Air and Space museum in Tucson AZ. Both have significant inventories and in Pima you can literally walk up and touch dozens of aircraft outside. Like touch nuclear bombers, etc.

Getting through a fingerprintscanner (Specially almost 20 years ago when this was made) is surprisingly easy, taking the print from a champagne glass and transfering it to a fake thumb or thick fingercondom works like a charm as long as you get a decently clean print. Lots of things in this movie make little to no sense, but that piece of science is spot on.

This is actually one of my favorite movies, and I tend to think that's because it satisfies what I look for in a movie and that's principally to have a good time when I watch it, and feel satisfied at the end. @@Ammeeeeeeer Yep. City kid. I'm 51 now and when the film came out I was 34. Everyone in my parent's generation (Baby Boomers, like John Voight) had a ton of lemons and oranges in baskets and refrigerator drawers for the purpose of fresh squeezing juice. It was so common it wasn't remarked upon when the film came out. Plot device? Hell, simple white vinegar or diluted battery acid, or even cat piss would have worked just as well. They would have been less common or more difficult to work with though.
@Ammeeeeeeer

@@seannovack3834 you're taking this waaaaaaaaay too seriously, unlike the makers of this film cashing in on the Dan Brown trend. The lemons are there for plot purposes, its because some intern did the minimal research needed about invinsible ink (spending less than 3 minutes on wikipedia). No more, no less. Your age or Voight's age do not matter 🤪 And why do you think "city kid" is an insult, are you a gaotherder in Taliban controlled Afghanistan? But hey, you want to die in this hill and get your blood pressure rising, go ahead boomer.

21:06 "How did they run so far from Chestnut to Reading Terminal Market? They are very far from each other". This happens all the time in movies. There's a film called "Assassins" (1995) starring Sylvester Stallone, Antonio Banderas, and Julianne Moore. It's pretty forgettable, but a large portion of it was shot in Seattle which is the area I'm from. There's a big scene with a shootout in a cemetery which was filmed on location in Everett, WA just one town over from where I live. At the end of the scene, they go speeding off away from the cemetery and across a small cement bridge. Next shot is them coming down the ramp from the bridge, but it's not the same bridge: they're now in downtown Seattle 30 miles away but it was cut in such a way that if you don't know the area you'd think it was just another angle of them speeding away.

9:43 Stuff like that DOES work on fingerprint scanners. They can measure the outline of the fingerprint, the temperature of the finger, etc. but in the end, they are still just dumb machines. A piece of silicone heated to roughly 98 degrees with the proper fingerprint drawn on it in a similar way could have worked as well. Mythbusters did a great segment on bypassing fingerprint-locks a few years after this movie came out so it's actually fairly plausible that the fingerprint-condom thing would work! :)

In this movie, Boromir goes bad. For a lot of your "why?" questions, the answer is "This is when Disney did actual family fare, so, there it is." Also, I have several friends who drink tea often through their day and buy lemons by the bagfull for their tea, hot or cold, so it made sense to me for his dad to have quite a few lemons. And I've gotten into quite a few places I wasn't allowed over the years by either wearing coveralls and carrying a toolbox, wearing a gray polo shirt and slacks and carrying a couple of packages, or a polo and jeans and carrying a pizza delivery bag. It was entertaining how often it'd work. Also: Riley is the best. 😀

I really enjoy this movie and agree completely with the analysis.. I am still not sure if it takes itself a bit more seriously than it should but I choose to believe that they knew they were completely over the top and were just having fun with it. As an adult I've only been to New York with work but last time I had 1 day to myself and I chose between going to the Intrepid (which I have seen from the outside) and the Natural History museum and I chose the latter, so it's still on my bucket list. If anyone likes that kind of thing and goes to London then I would recommend going to the WWII era warship HMS Belfast near Tower Bridge.

If you would like to see a full size replica of the Liberty Bell, find out where your State's Liberty Bell is. In 1950 the US Treasury had 55 Liberty Bell replicas cast by the Paccard Foundry, one for each state and territory of the US. Most states have their bell replicas on display somewhere in the state capitol or museum. Do you know why it is call the Liberty Bell? It is because of the inscription on the bell from Leviticus 25:10 "proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof". The Abolitionist adopted the Liberty Bell as the symbol of abolishing Slavery in the United States.

It's a fun movie but like the DaVinci code you really don't want to think about it too much 🤣

This is one of my favorite Nicolas cage's films and one of my favorite movies of all time. I'm so glad you watched it 😊. By the way, it was so funny how you show the Nic Cage pillow😂😂😂

I like this film. A good fun adventure! I also thought your hair was jet black for a second, which really works for you in that top, but it was just the light reflection playing tricks on my phone. 🙈🥰
**The Martian** is one of the BEST space movies! (Reaction!)
