I share with you what I believe to be the best start for Isabella and Vlad Von Carstein in Immortal empires on legendary/very hard difficulty.

00:23 Turn 1
Attach heroes to the army, raise the dead, excluding the fell bats. Attack the first enemy army and, after winning, invest points in the hunger for Vlad and Isabela. Proceed to attack Eschen and occupy it. Demolish all military buildings, start constructing the gold mine, and initiate the upgrade for Castle Drakenhof. Recruit zombies, change the commandment for growth and reduced construction, recruit a Master Necromancer lord, research the Book of Arkhan technology, and engage in diplomacy. Offer to join the war against Ungrim's starting enemy in exchange for a non-aggression pact and some income. End the turn.

Raise some zombies, and with Isabela, launch an attack on Castle Templehof. Include the Necromancer lord in the battle to assist. The siege isn't challenging; you can either use the Crypt Ghouls to sneak in and capture the main point or engage in a melee grind with the enemy. Ensure to bring the Necromancer lord into your army blob to heal them with his passive ability, Master of the Dead. After winning the battle, move the Necromancer lord closer to Fort Oberstyer. At Eshin, recruit a Vampire lord and start recruiting some zombies.
Build up the repression chain buildings in your starting province, change the commandment to increase your local recruitment capacity by 1, allocate skill points to your lords and heroes (consider investing in the Necromancer's red skill line to boost the leadership of your blob and acquire Flock of Doom for Vlad), and make other skill choices as you see fit.
For a bit of cheese, open your diplomacy and offer to join war against Clan Kreepus with Drycha for some cash. Immediately afterward, make peace with them for more cash with no diplomatic penalties whatsoever. This tactic essentially generates money out of thin air. Now transfer all infantry (excluding zombies and Crypt Ghouls) into the Master Necromancer's army along with the Black Coach. Begin recruiting zombies with Isabela and raise them with the Necromancer to prevent the AI from doing so over the end turn.
03:47 Turn 3
Move Isabela as close to Waldenhof as possible and attack it with the Vampire lord. The battle, a simple melee grind, should result in victory. After winning, occupy the settlement and then direct Isabela towards Zufbar. Recruit another Master Necromancer at Castle Drakenhof (adjusting for availability), start recruiting 3 zombies, and allocate any available skill points-ensure Vlad gets Flock of Doom.
Use the first Necromancer lord to attack Fort Oberstyre. The battle, while not challenging, involves blobbing up your infantry and cycle charging with the Black Coach until victory. After winning, occupy the settlement, demolish any military buildings in that province, build a repression building if possible, set the commandment for growth, start researching technologies for zombies, and end the turn.
05:35 Turn 4
You can win this battle by either capping the main point or engaging in a melee grind for 2 hours - your choice. Blob up your units in this location and deploy the crypt ghouls opposite. Prepare to retreat two zombies to bring in Vlad and Isabela. Have your zombies and heroes attack one gate; use the Vargulf to go to the side and attack another. After it destroys the gate have it start moving to cap the main point and have the crypt ghouls climb up the walls to capture some points. When Vlad and Isabela come onto the map, have them join the main blob and cast Flock of Doom on the enemy. Use the flying units to assist the Vargulf in capturing the main point and once you have captured it, just run off it, as the AI will not try to recapture it.
After winning the battle, loot and occupy the settlement. Don’t forget to move the vampire lord into Castle Drakenhof. Now you will be able to unlock a bloodline lord; you can take whichever you wish, I usually go for the Von Carstein first. Start recruiting some zombies with Isabela, build up the repression chain buildings where you can, swap the commandment in Southern Sylvania to lower the cost of building for the next turn, and end the turn.
07:50 Turn 5
Build unique landmark, gold mine, and growth building in Castle Drakenhof. Move the first Necromancer lord toward Karak Dromar for the next turn's attack. Start recruiting zombies. Use Vampire lord and Isabela to attack and occupy Oakenhammer. Move the second Necromancer lord toward Grom Peak. Begin researching technologies and end the turn.
