Hello, today we are in Bran Romania. Here, we will see the historical traces of a very important name for Turkish History together. That person is Vlad III, Prince of Wallachia. Dracula. The castle is now a museum. So who is this Vlad?
Vlad III. Dracula is a leader who reigned in the Principality of Wallachia in the 15th century. Father II. Vlad and his uncle Mircea I were also among the Princes of Wallachia. Father II. Vlad was known as "Vlad the Devil" and was known as a warrior leader.
Vlad III. Dracula ascended the throne after his father's death. He was also known as a tough leader and often did not hesitate to fight his enemies. However, the most well-known feature in history is the use of impalement as a method of execution. For this reason, he is known as "The Impaler Voivode".
Vlad III. The reason Dracula used the impalement method was to effectively intimidate his enemies. Once impaled, he allowed his victims to die in agony, displaying this scene before the eyes of others. Thus, he prevented them from going against him.
His recognition as Vlad the Impaler is not only due to his use of this method. He also worked seriously on protecting the public. He had fought to protect the lands of Wallachia against the Ottoman Empire and kept foreigners away from his lands.
Vlad III. Dracula's story inspired the character of Count Dracula in Bram Stoker's novel Dracula. However, this character is Vlad III. It has no real connection to Dracula and is based on the author's imagination.
As a result, Vlad III. Dracula has been called a tough leader in history and the nightmare of his enemies. Although known for his impalement method, he also made efforts to protect the people of Wallachia.
