Vladimir Putin threatens to nuke the West and accuses NATO of ‘preparing to strike’ Russia

Vladimir Putin has threatened to nuke the West as he accused NATO and the US of planning to strike Russia, promising the allies ‘a fate more tragic than anything we could face.’
In an address to the nation, he added: ‘They have to understand that we have weapons - weapons that can defeat them on their own territory. ‘Of course this is all very dangerous because it could actually trigger the use of nuclear weapons. Do they not understand that?’
It is hardly the first time Putin has threatened nuclear retaliation amid the war in Ukraine, but it is the first time in a while he has made the threat after ally China is thought to have warned him to back off. It comes after Emmanuel Macron, at a meeting of Ukraine’s allies in Paris said the option of sending Western troops to aid Kyiv has not been ruled out. Russia has began advancing in Ukraine again amid delays in getting more military aid from the US, and European nations are now beginning to plan for their security if Washington cannot be relied upon in future.

I doubt the sponsors of the American government care if Europe and Russia go to war, but I do and so do other EU countries; I have no interest in America's interests and clearly neither do European farmers. If America wants nuclear war, that option is available, but then everyone loses. So I agree with China: America has been playing a "power-game" in Eastern Europe (and what motivates them is money). Russia wants them out and off their border.
