Russian President Vladimir #Putin made the dream come true for one, very ill, young boy with an exclusive #helicopter tour above Saint Petersburg.
Putin joined in with the Dream With Me project aimed at fulfilling the wishes of seriously ill children when he attended a Russian volunteer's forum at the beginning of December. #Artem, from the Leningrad Region, was one of the children who the Russian president promised to help turn his dreams into a reality. The boy's cherished aspiration was to see Saint Petersburg from a bird's-eye view.
Prior to the much-anticipated tour, Putin received the boy and his family in the Konstantinovsky Palace, where the Russian leader offered them tea, talked through the tour's route, wished them well for the upcoming New Year and gave them festive presents. The president then drove Artem, his brother and father to the helipad.
The Dream With Me charity project seeks to help children and the elderly with life-threatening illnesses to achieve their dreams.
