Applying God’s Principles to Your Work
On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work. Genesis 2v2
But Jesus replied, “My Father is always working, and so am I.” John 5v17
1. God created man to work with Him in the world. (Genesis 1v28; Psalm 115v16; 1 Corinthians 3v9; Colossians 1v29)
Job is for a paycheck. Work is for a purpose.
2. When sin entered the world, it entered the workspace.
Gen 3 - Work of home (pain); work of ground (struggle)
Gen 4 - Killing happens in the workplace.
Gen 31 - Jacob summarizes 20 years of work - as harsh and unfair.
Gen 39 - Sexual harassment in the workplace.
3. We are saved, not by good works, but for good works. (Ephesians 2v8-10; Titus 2v9-10; Philippians 2v13; Colossians 3v23-24)
If you don’t bring the gospel into your workplace, you’ll miss God’s work in you.
All legitimate work is an act of worship.
When you retire from your job, don’t retire from your work.

Pray and submit to God. He has a plan and will not test you beyond what you can bear. Learning to love your enemies is such an amazing witness because only God gives that sort of love. I say this having been the focus of an incredibly toxic work environment for four years and God kept me through it and resolved it. Remember His love, trust Him and walk in His ways. Much love and grace and blessings to you.

You may already know this, but one of the first things we must do to get free from rejection of any kind is to forgive the person or people who rejected us. the next thing is to renew our mind with God’s Word letting wash out all of the lies about you that tried to define you. God has accepted you in Christ Jesus and made you a joint-heir with Him of all He has [the Kingdom of God] Romans 8:17;

I will give you my story of being rejected by my father..... when I understood that our parents are broken people who make all the same mistakes we do and I chose to accept that he was also in bondage to sin ... just as I was... I understood and forgave him just as I was forgiven for my rejection. I also realized through these deliverance ministries that rejection is a spirit that was passed on to my ancestry and I needed to get rid of the unforgiveness so that rejection would not pass on to my children. Thank you God for delivering my daughter from the street life, drugs, fornication, mental illness and iniquity. I thank God for delivering me and my children from poverty. So true.. ..at work for these few weeks I had to stop letting my flesh take over. I just sat thinking how my attitude changed.. ..the work is such a testing ground to see our character as a person. Coz you will be tested to prove if you are kind or not.. ..have self-control or not etc...

You don’t know how bad I needed this message pastor Vlad. I work at a child care center and I specifically work with 2 year olds and today was difficult with all the screaming and crying from the children. During nap time I asked God to give me a sign if I should be doing this type of work (early childhood) then this video popped up on my feed. Praise Jesus Christ! He is always good! Thank you God.

@@madamemakeupmonologuematur7023 anytime I had a toxic boss, I would just quit/put my 2 weeks in. It’s a just a job and a job isn’t worth all that stress. Obviously wherever you work you’re going to encounter mean co workers, and no matter what we do, they’ll never favor you and that’s okay. The goal I think is to find a job where God leads us, work hard for God, and have tolerable co workers. The good thing is we get to choose.

I also taught 2 year Olds. It can be very demanding. State regulations, relationships with the parents, relationship between children and parents, meeting the specific demands from corporate....it can really feel like a tug of war at times. You are NOT just a babysitter. You teach them how to interact socially filling in the gaps when parents have to work. We need good caretakers/teachers. Like you did today, if you wanna quit, pray first. God is with you❤

@@poizonfetish88 I have found that God speaks to and instructs me through dreams. He had instructed me through thoughts when I was worshipping and hearing his word. He spoke to me via my Pastor. Best of all all, he sealed and connected it all by confirmation of his word. When I was panicking after quitting, I started meditating and he sent me Isaiah 51:13-14. Elshaddai, Jehovah Shammah assured me that he is there and above everything. Jehovah Rohi has equipped us with all that we need and our bread will not fail. Praise the Lord! ❤️

@@poizonfetish88 Pray, especially when you’re unsure, “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him” (James 1:5). “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him” (Psalm 37:7) “Show me the way I should go, for to You I lift up my soul” (Psalm 143:8). The primary way God commands us is through His Word. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). Also the Holy Spirit will discern what is, or is not, God’s will for our lives. “The Spirit of truth . . . will guide you into all truth” (John 16:13). Sometimes the Holy Spirit will either agitate our conscience if we’re making a wrong decision, or He will pacify and encourage us when we’re leaning toward the right decision. hope that helped :)

@@poizonfetish88 knowing when God is instructing us comes in different forms to all of us. I believe that first, you’ll know in heart that what you’re doing right now doesn’t fulfill you at all. Then when you lean in God’s word, asking him genuinely to direct you, that’s when he’ll use different people to give you little nuggets/hints to things you should be leaning towards. But ask him ❤

@@godswittness69 that is absolutely amazing I just moved from Portland this past January. I used to pray for anyone and everyone around me because of the brokenness that is right in front of your face. It’s a small city and hard to spread light in but it’s worth every ounce given of love, Portland deserves it. I pray for you and your light to not be taken from you in any form✨🙏. It takes strength to spread Jesus’s love in Portland I know that from experience❤️ it was hard for me to find a church in Portland. I never had a community there and I pray for you in thoughts/feelings of your loneliness! The people really can be emotionally draining and hopeless and the place itself feels like it never wanted to let go of me! That is why I left. I wanted freedom from the inescapable void of satanic energies because Portland is more Freemason than I have ever seen anywhere and I pray you can come to find freedom from the broken that is forced into that city. You deserve better and God and Jesus want you to know that🙌❤️

@@godswittness69 to be clear i loved Portland so much and it made me so much of who I am unapologetically sharing the love Jesus has and I really found myself in so many intense interactions. It gave me strength in my despair to see how amazing Jesus is and has us through the most dark moments. The holy spirit is moving there and moving in the most amazing people, usually homeless…. I seriously love that city so much it’s a home to me but I had to get out because of the mental health that is almost impossible to escape. To an extent I learned that my soul is intended to grow in healthier places where I am not spending my time trying to find fresh air through all the drugs blown in the air when I transit and things like that God just wants us to find our way to him not fight through these unstoppable battles but free ourselves from them:)

This was excellent and timely. Exactly what I needed to hear. This week I have been stood down as a supervisor, simply put I didn't fulfil my duty well. My team complained about my attitude and the way I operated. I made some bad calls and didn't set the example. I was impatient, didn't train others well or communicated as good as I should had hence why I've been demoted. I take responsibility for my mistakes, it's all on me. Thank you God for humbling me and shown me what I need to work on.

Wow! Thank you Pastor Vlad! This is so timely! I just started a new job that I felt it was God given. It’s such a fulfilling job & I see my purpose there, but after only a month, I wanted to quit! Thank u pastor V i really need this msg so much like u wont believe as toxic pple politics at work can do a number on my mental health that causes me to be distracted n wanna quit every job every time. My debts mount up n families not blessed. E enemy wins as i cld not outwit him. All bc of mental n heart health not in right place. When we break down. Families break down. Society breals down. Wars erupt. Thats as bad as global warming. Everything place a part. So thank u Pastor for getting to the root to help solve whatever problems we face. Be proactive and not a professional complainer thats not helping anyone. I am so helped by ur msg so this will bless n move my impact chain going forward. 1 small request if pastor can next sermon give more advise on how to sustain work when faced w toxic pple politics thst kills our dignity n spirit etc? Many times we know the whats but not the how to do it?

My workplace had a contest for the end of season. I won a PS5 right as I started considering to put something at the foot of my bed to relax after work. I had no idea where it even came from, just showed up on my doorstep. Did not find out I won a contest I had seen a month prior and never entered manually. It has been a wonderful blessing on my life and allows me to watch videos at night and play games with new friends. It has been one of the most obvious blessings that showed I was doing a good job, considering I never win anything from any contest or event
