some tips that actually helped me and are still helping me 1. That feeling/that voice/ the urge doesn't mean you have already FALLEN!! I always gave in when I heard that voice to watch porn bcos I thought I had already fallen just bcos I was feeling that urge.... temptation is not = sinning!! Jesus was tempted after 40 days of fasting but he overcame! 2. The more you fall the more you need to seek Jesus. I once Heard this quote: we have 2 dogs in us, the one we feed more gets bigger!!! More porn, more cravings, now do the same to the other dog, get more of Jesus even in the mess!! Get a book in the Bible and start reading a chapter everyday or some part of it with prayer! The goal is to feed the other dog with the word of God. It works like magic. The Holy spirit feels your will to change!! 3. Hate it!!!! Hate it. Soon or later your body and mind aligns with it!!Fight it. When you fall down, Rise up and repeat the first two points. We got this people of God we can't be slaves to sin!!

Hello there.. Something like this needs a practical method to be free.. It's not just avout prayer alone, it's about what you do after praying.. What are the contents of the things you see? Movies..? Browsing sites? Pictures..? If this things are filthy or contains a touch of filth like immoral scenes, surely you'll be bound by the things you're trying to escape from.. Clear your phones from things like this, stay away from certain kind of movies that can stir up these things, watch what your eyes feeds on, instead spend more time reading your Bible and getting clean.. What of the places you go? Do you go to places where the people around you talk dirty things or do dirty things? Do you have dirty kind of conversations with people? Stop hanging out with those kind of people, stop being in places where you'll be tempted to listen to those kinds of conversation.. Rather, work time more around godly people that their words have been seasoned with salt. Above all.. Have a good relationship with God which comes from having to hear God daily from your Bible and people that preached the true gospel.. Be intentional about getting free.. Remember 1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from every form of evil.

Lust has been a generational curse to my family to an extent that no one has ever gotten married in my family. And no one was living happily with his or her spouse. Like you said it's up to us on what we do with the inherited lust, i decided not to let lust control me and got married this January, and my brother is getting married next year. (First weddings in our entire generation). However i continue to ask for God's guidance to keep me on his truck for sometimes it comes back and wants to put me down but i haven't surrendered for i know the good plans that God has for me. My dad struggled with last, I struggle with lust. Hearing your sermon hit me like a ton of bricks! That if I don't allow the Lord to take control of this area of my life, that I am only hurting my 13 year old son! Ohhhh Lord, please help this struggle stop with my generation! Help me to stand in the gap for my son, who I know the enemy is ready to pounce on him in this same area! I didn't know how to deal with lust and I was ashamed to talk about it so I kept it with myself as no one was there to help this teenager. So i started finding answer in the Bible and the verse 'God created humankind.'&'God knows every human action' convinced me to present my case before God. So I went to my room, locked the door and told to God all the things that I desired. But at first I was ashamed but then I ignored my shame and I start saying all the filthy desires i had in my heart and the filthy thing that I had done in the past with regards to lust. After saying all these things the Holy Spirit reminded me of other sins that I had done in the past so I said all of it as filthy as it was to God and i acknowledged that whatever i had done was evil in the sight of the LORD and confessed all the sins that I had committed. And i asked forgiveness for my transgressions in the name of JESUS CHRIST. After saying all this,SUDDENLY I was lighted up. All the guilt that I had been carrying all these years suddenly vanished . It was such a supernatural experience there are no words to describes it. From that time on I became a true believer in Jesus Christ. So my advise is to deny yourself and acknowledge the sins you have committed (because God can save the sinner you are but not the fake saint you act out to be )and ask forgiveness from God in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Thank you for this, I am someone who has been struggling on sexuality and purity and self control. I have been concerned that if I start leashing my feelings then maybe one day I will no longer have them, but no. God is the one in control and I also have control. I have had passion with lust or desire for companionship but it has gotten to the point that it is constantly on the mind. It is hard because I have asked God to help me, but after listening to these preachings Im realizing how important it is to look away, flee, or constantly put it into control. My grandmother ( i love and respect her) but she was someone who always felt something empty and looked to fill it with relationships. And ultimately went through multiple husbands and is still feeling lonely and depression and one day I thought, damn her and I seem to have that similarity. But I am going to combat this because I know my Lord and God is all I need and he is what will fufill me.

I was molested as a child. I struggle with this. I don't even know what a healthy relationship is. I was married to two narcissistic men. They both cheated on me and physically abused me.I'm currently divorced. And have no plans to marry again. I'm happy being single and living a pure, holy, and God fearing life. Hi Chilombo, you should pray against depression if this still happens. If for any reason you get depressed, then you can try doing actual physical work if you can't avoid being alone. The better thing to do after praying is to study what the Bible says about lust. God's words is living and powerful, it is by it (the truth) that we will be set free from power of lust and addictions. Make a Bible reading plan, and stick to it. It's one of the ways I was helped from lust. May God help

At first, I thought that was something that was specifically tied to African culture and the practices of ancestral worship, animism(nature worship), voodoo, and such. As time went on, I began to hear both Asian and Polynesian ministers of God preaching about spiritual spouses as well. In the Western world, most Christians are not familiar with this teaching or aspect of the spiritual world. The spirit husband or wife is an incredibly bizarre and powerful aspect of the demonic world, but praise God, through Jesus, these can be defeated and cast out!!

I am 30+ and not married yet. Whenever I have uncontrollable sexual desire, I fast for a day or two like the Muslim does and it works like magic. All the sexual desires disappear. That’s the Islamic way of dealing with lust unless you can’t get married. I tried many other ways before to divert my lust and sometimes those work for a while. Only fasting gives me perfect control over lust for a long period of time.

But I have a question, I hope you do spend adequate time reading and studying the word of God? Im married but my wife is bitter and doesn't desire to be intimate with me; its been a burden bc the temptation to be with another woman always comes up, it also makes me bitter that i married her bc no matter what i do she finds ways to judge that its not good enough, or she simply acts as though im not doing anything good. @@lanechim1203 it’s a lot easier to overcome when I stay on His Word and also by serving others. Im doing a lot better than 2 years ago for sure. I’ve had some slips but I repent and keep it moving

@@lanechim1203 please I hope you are not opening door ways for the enemy. Do not watch movies or read novels that stir up these THINGS! Eat the word of God daily. One of the greatest way to win a battle both physically and spiritually is having a sharp sword and also knowing how to use the sword effectively. From Eph 6 we know that the sword of the spirit is the word of God. We must have God's word implanted in us, so that when the devil comes to tempt or try us we would use our sword effectively!

@@simplybeingme I totally agree with you. It is a lot lot easier to overcome when you stay in his word! Keep looking into Jesus sis. One of the scriptures he gave me when I rededicate my life to Him was Philippians 1 vs 6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. God will complete and perfect all that concerns you 🙏 Amen

You can't be pure in a vacuum, you can only be pure in a community. I used to think that if I was the only one in the world living a Holy life would be easy, but that hasn't got me anywhere. As a testimony, I used to look at porn as I believed the lies of the devil that it was okay to do that instead of cheating on my girlfriend/ eventually my wife who was away most of the time because of her job. I came home from work, ate my dinner and locked my room door and proceeded to do what seemed more as a habit that actually didn't satisfy. I did that deed and finished, opened my room door. My niece who was 3 at the time said to me "whats that?" Pointing at the chair where I sat. I said what? She said she here's something on the chair. I said what?? She said there's a monkey on the chair putting on its briefs. I was so shocked. A demon was being appeased or influenced me to do what I did . A rea spiritual l eye opener.

You always have the right message I need to hear when I need to hear it, and the enemy always tries to work against it. Every 2 minutes there is an advertisement cutting off the message trying to frustrate me and keep me from listening.

I let lust rule my life for 2 years, it led me astray from my path and I lost myself. I was controlling and possessive like Vlad said, I’m hoping I can get some answers and reclaim myself by exploring the word of God.

Keep on praying and studying God's word! God's word delivers and saves! I was once hooked on lust and pornography and one of the ways I also got delivered was through brethren. Having someone I am accountable to and also me maintaining an open and honest heart before God and brethren.its 2yrs now,i have been free and delivered. But if you truly want to be serious with God I can help you. About six years ago if someone had told me I could really have a serious relationship with Jesus I won't have believe it. I am glad I said yes to him 😊. It had been the best decision I have ever made. Truly it has been a bitter sweet journey, nevertheless it all worth it. My life is a testimony that God desires a relationship with even the most dirtiest of sinner. Hmmm so my dear if truly you want to be serious with God and you don't know how I can be of help to you. God will break the lust in my life even though im not in community, there is no community here. Its an orthodox country, which his Idolatry, No normal churches.......but God will still do it in my life. Glory to His Name
