Darryl Strawberry and Vlad talked about the pivotal role good women play in a man's life. Having grown up in South Central L.A., a gang-intense neighborhood, Strawberry reflected on his time in prison, maintaining that his background made it easy for him to blend in. Strawberry saluted his wife Tracy for being different from other women he met and credited her for opening his eyes to the dangerous fascination of material things and fancy lifestyles. Tracy's influence helped Strawberry to navigate through prison and rise above his troubled past, transforming him into a better human being. The former baseball star also journeyed back in his professional career, affirming that after retiring, the Mets organization still embraced him. However, he credits his wife for helping him to fully transition out of his baseball identity and champion a new life direction.

South Central is a special place. I'm from NYC and I traveled to Cali specifically to see South Central for my own eyes. I encountered a lot of really good people and the area holds a unique beauty. Like any place, it's not perfect, but it's not nearly as bad as some people think. The sun setting in LA is something that we don't experience here in NYC.

I've never been a baseball fan BUT I remember being CAPTIVATED when watching this PRO play...his swagger and natural athleticism in the field was simply striking. I had heard about his struggles with addiction while playing and I was like rooting for him, hoping love ones would intervene and help. Addiction is an illness that unfortunately our society continues to criminalized. I consider this man a legend and wish him continued success in all his endeavors. He paid society his dues for his illness...I applaud his strength and perseverance for confronting his nightmares.

Darryl Strawberry spoken like a man who has truly been there and done that before. "She's gotta be a good woman though". He has probably been through more hot women than Vlad could ever hope to even know. Especially back in the 1980s and early 1990s. I love how he cuts Vlad off here because he knows the wrong message is just meet a woman and you will be set for life. He has likely known plenty of hot bad ones in his life that can make your life a living hell. It took more than half of his life to finally meet a good down to earth woman with Christian values. These women don't just fall off of trees and Darryl knows it.
