Johnny Curry sat down for his first-ever VladTV interview, where he detailed growing up in Detroit and becoming one of the biggest figures in the city's underworld. During the conversation, Johnny explained his rise in Detroit, moving to Florida and establishing a connection in Columbia, and working with various cartels. He then detailed the “White Boy Rick” story, which led to him being indicted in 1987. Johnny also spoke about the “White Boy Rick” movie starring Matthew McConaughey and the events that followed, which you can hear more about in the full interview above.

Lifeline Metro Detroiter here who has always had a passion and love for the history of the Detroit dope game. The city has seen so many legends in the game that made money that would make your head spin. The fat man Eddie Jackson, Demetrious Holloway, Maserati Rick, the Curry brothers, Big Ed, The Chambers who came from down south and Were are lucky enough to have incredible timing to absolutely kill it with the beginning of the crack era. I’m 47 years old and I had about 20 years old I read Butch Jones book “YBI” absolutely fascinating read. The young boys working the corners like magicians must’ve been quite the scene. Don’t let me forget to mention White boy Rick. What the government did with him is truly unbelievable. Absolute insanity at its finest. Fast forward some years and you Got big Meech and his boys taking the game down south and killing it with the Detroit style. I live five minutes outside the city and work and play often in the D. The city is really trying hard to make an incredible come back which is starting downtown. To see where it is today compared to just 10 years ago is absolutely bananas. Proud to be from Detroit Michigan baby. Let’s go

I grew up in Detroit and yes they were powerful in a sense when it came to weed, drugs ,heroine, and cocaine.. You don't have a clue how many families buried their loved ones and the amount of families that got torn apart because of the curry boys! They kept the funeral homes in business! So many unsolved murders went out the windows because of his ties to the police department head of homicide chief they were paying off! Remember Gill Hill that played in Beverly Hills cops ? That was a real person he was the chief of homicide in Detroit he had six homicide cops protecting his home at all times. Johnny kept his hands clean he called all the shots and put out all the death hits! I hope he find Jesus before he leave this earth.

Spoken like an idiot! If he didn't sell drugs in the first place, he wouldn't have to worry about telling on other criminals to avoid going to prison in the first place!! If he would have applied his leadership and business skills to something legal, he'd be running a fortune 500 company right now! But drug dealers are so greedy and ultra maternalistic, he wouldn't have stopped before he was arrested and sent off to federal prison!! What about are the lives he destroyed with crack cocaine?! My older half-sister was one of his customer$! She was even pronounced dead on her way to the hospital back in 1989!! Miraculously she was brought back to life! But today, her body is now deteriorating and very frail today! Years of a crack cocaine fueled lifestyle and 3 or 4 packs of cigarettes a day, have finally caught up with her! God Bless her! She lost everything!! Her underwriter job at Gates McDonald/Nationwide insurance, her children, her marriage and almost her life!! Why is anyone glorifying a notorious drug trafficker and killer?! The more money he made, the more violence and drug-related death in Detroit and the Midwest, him and his organization are responsible for! How he can sit up there and grin and smile in this interview is beyond me! Shout out to John Curry?! Your hero is a convicted felon, who used children to peddle poison and genocide on his own people , regularly hung out and did business with a corrupt mayor, police department and a greedy homicide detective like Gil Hill?! All for a little bit of money?! Because he was once wealthy for selling drugs, now he's some kind of "ghetto superstar?!
