Part 1: • Larry Mazza on Having ...
--------
In this clip, Larry Mazza opened up about getting word from his uncle that Nicky Black, who was next in line for consigliere in the Colombo family, was going to go after Larry if he didn't side with Orena. Larry then decided to hunt down Nicky along with Gregory Scarpa, the "Grim Reaper" of the mob. While in the car with Scarpa, who was suffering from cognitive decline from HIV, they spotted Nicky, and eventually caught up to him. To hear the outcome, hit the above clip.

It was a war... Any Italian mob war they call it "going to the mattresses" meaning they don't stay with there families they rent out hotels or hide out in apartments they own 1 week at a time looking for targets to kill. It's kill or be killed in the mob especially if a war breaks out in your own family, the Columbo's have had 2 or 3 wars more then the other 4 families

Larry is a close personal friend. When we were banging out once in Orlando I did a Facebook live (I’m a novelist but ex street guy like Larry) I had him tell this story on live FB. Real detailed. He said he saw Blaxk’s nose splatter against the front window. He said “His nose! I see his nose sliding down the windshield. The kid is screaming and all I can think is this nose stuck to the windshield.” I remember laughing but feeling bad about it after. Not a laughing matter. I have a KZfaq show myself and share a lot of bad behavior stories. But I always want people to know that’s the old me. I did 13 years in prison. Like Larry I’m a changed man. This was the old Larry. He’s not that guy anymore.

The crazy part was in was living in Brooklyn at the time, and I was walking out of a jewelry store I was casing out, abs a gun fight breaks out with these guys.
