In this clip, Matt Barnes listened to Vlad lay out why he doesn’t fully support the “check in” mentality and what his particular issue with hearing Matt’s co-host Stephen Jackson promote it. Matt didn’t disagree with Vlad’s conclusion to hire professional security, however, he noted that sometimes that isn’t enough protection especially with the blatant disregard armed robbers have today. Matt said back in the day they used to just snatch chains, “now they snatch lives.”

Nothing is 100%, but typically it's about growing a relationship with the person/crew you check in with in whatever area your at. Once you grow that relationship and you are around that group you are typically good. At the end of the day checking in is more about growing a relationship and understanding. It's much deeper than just a phone call and spending money.
