Scott Storch: My Living Expenses Were $1M a Month, Including a Blunt Roller

Scott Storch spoke exclusively to VladTV about living life in excess at the height of his career, which included monthly expenses of $1,000,000 and hiring a staff member whose sole job was to roll Scott's blunts. The famed record producer also said that he would have at least fifteen exotic vehicles in his fleet, including one of the first Bugatti Veyron sports cars to ever be sold.
While it seemed like Scott had it all from the outside looking in, he told us that his excessive lifestyle brought a lot of misery, and Scott said that he was doing most of it for the enjoyment of other people. During the conversation he also added that his focus started shifting away from music after he started getting wrapped up in the fast-paced Hollywood lifestyle, which you can hear more about in the above clip.

Yup, but he sums up why that lifestyle never interested me like when guys like Tate etc push it as being 'the only option'. After so long it becomes as vapid and miserable at heart as it is exciting very early on, and comes with its' own stressors and problems, not least hangers on, bad energy, thieves etc. You live for everyone else almost like Scott says. Nobody is really just living normal at that point. Gimme a log cabin away from cities in nature, my 50/50 custody of my daughter, my PC w/all the VSTi's and games, my Midi Keyboard, all my books, Kindle & iPad, my road bike and gravel bike, a dog, and I'd be golden, genuinely. That sounds like heaven. I don't think I'd take the mansion and yacht w/ free upkeep if you offered it to me and I couldn't sell or rent them.

See people equate more money with happiness, and yet, here was a guy who had it all materialistically and says "it was fun but it was misery at the same time." If you sit back and think about it, would it really be worth having all this money, but then feeling so down in a world that's so dark? Every human being no matter what, wants happiness. Happiness however to me is learning to be grateful and content with what you have. Whether you have a little or a lot, just be thankful for every little thing in life. If all you rely on is material to bring you happiness, then you're never going to be happy in life, because as soon as the novelty of that new car, or the new house wares off, you're going to be feeling empty and wanting to fill that void, and you're going to feel like you have to buy something else to replace and get that sense of happiness once again. Surround yourself with positive people, lots of love, and have gratitude and you will find happiness. Some of the happiest people have the least amount of money in their bank account.
