Robert Ladd, former member of Compton PD's Gang Unit, returned to VladTV and detailed career as a cop. He described how he went from being a construction worker to joining the force. He also described the impact of the crack cocaine epidemic and the challenging task of patrolling Compton's 55 gangs with such a small unit. After talking about Hip-Hop's impact on how officers were viewed and treated by citizens, Robert talked about Compton cops providing security to Death Row Records and his run-ins with Orlando Anderson. Robert Ladd spoke about Snoop Dogg's murder case, the Southside Crips, and the aftermath of 2Pac's death before offering his thoughts on Keefe D's arrest. To hear more, check out the full interview above.

It says a lot about a man's character that not only goes on a public platform to defend his deceased partner but also doesn't comment on issues regarding people he respects. He respects the code more than so-called gangsters. Big ups to Ladd 💯

Remember DC was the murder capital. SE was the armpit. My best was the 4th most dangerous stretch road in the "World". MLK Ave & Goodhope Road is movie that needs to be made. Murder after murder , night after night. Nat guard with big lights at one point. Ted Coppel doing night line from a Black Church on my beat. Lots of stories. Raful Edmonds was just a cog in the wheel. Made the five families in NY look like girl scouts. As far as not caring about murder.

@@k9spjackI don't know man. His anger around an hour and twenty in when he says Kading put a death sentence on Keffe D and said Keffe is a human being and is lucky to be alive proves to me this dude has empathy and probably feels when he sees death no matter whose it is. I'm sure there are some that are like that. But I'm also sure others have empathy for some gang members and criminals. Too a lesser degree I'm sure there are a few that have empathy for everyone. Hopefully both sides see the other as human and valuable every time. I know that isn't always the case but neither is the other option.

Jacksonville, Florida, is my hometown. I grew up in a neighborhood that went from predominantly white to a predominantly black neighborhood, with a few white families who never moved out of the neighborhood. Childhood was mostly spent playing basketball, football in the streets, video games, sleepovers, and fishing with the boys my age in the neighborhood, there were at least 10-12 of us. We knew almost every family in the neighborhood, as they had watched us grow up riding our bikes in packs, up and down those streets. 1984, crack cocaine emerged on the scene. My friends and I were around 10-13, so we were still too young at that time to be involved. It was the older boys in the neighborhood who us youngster looked up to, known for their breakdancing crews, they became the drug dealers. Pretty soon an empty house maybe 10 houses away was taken over by a drug dealer known as "Posse" It became the crack drive through, marking a darker period in our neighborhood. The older boys who were now the neighborhood drug dealers, we still looked up to them, even more so now, because now they are getting money, now you see them with jewelry, the big fat dookie ropes, driving the Suzuki Sidekicks, the Ford Escorts, and Low Rider trucks. Violence became more prevalent, a lot of those older guys we looked up to were starting to get murdered left and right. It wasn't before long my peers, the boys that I played with, started wanting to make them so money to, so a lot of them started becoming drug dealers. The neighborhood changed, never been the same. During a recent visit for a trip down memory lane, I stopped at the park where we played almost daily, I found it occupied by armed youngsters, a far cry from the peaceful place of my childhood. I can even remember when the dynamic with the Police changed, prior to the drug era, as kids we would be happy when a Police car drove through the neighborhood. We would run behind the car, hoping the Officer would slow down, talk to us kids. We even had a few cool ones, that would show us all the cool equipment, he carried along that which was equipped inside the vehicle. To them being seen as the bad guys.

Robert Ladd, I have a lot of respect for you. You are a very honest and fair human being. I understand your frustration for some of Greg Kading's methods, but from everything you say, it's clear he as a police investigator without the experience and knowledge of gang culture that you had, he was still able to take on these cold cases and successfully come to an accurate conclusion that you agree with. You actually agree with many things he did and many things he says. It would be nice to put the minor disagreements aside and stand together as police on the same side to help solve these cases. Because there are other police officers/agencies that don't want to solve these cases and people like that idiot FBI agent Carson that are pushing ridiculous theories whom you really should be criticising. As you pointed out, Vegas should have solved this in 96 but they didn't. The task force exposed the truth to more law enforcement and got closerbut it got derailed. If the documentaries, tv show or KZfaq interviews have finally made vegas take action, then based on your view that "we'll get you next time" at least there will be some conclusion before all involved die and the case never gets finalised. It would be good to see you and Kading pushing for justice as a team, not against one another. Would like to see more interviews with you and more of your thoughts regarding the biggie case. Cheers👍

Carson is kind of a no body. His videos get low views. But Id like to see him and Greg reply to Carson also.

Seems like one of those guys who can't help but tell the truth/how he feels. Quite refreshing coming from a cop. Greg Kading seems like the polar opposite.

Great show/interview with what seems to be an open, honest & genuinely decent cop, Kading on the other hand is a snake who would sell his own mother to get a result, & is why Cops/Peelers etc get the reputation they do. Regard from Northern Ireland 🇬🇧

Yet you're here watching your mortal enemy. Makes no sense and shows you lack integrity if that's how you feel, brother. All you have to do is not watch or comment and you're hurting your "enemy". Watching and commenting does quite the opposite.

@undertakerfanz628 nice strawman. You still haven't explained why you're watching the dude's channel and helping promote his channel on the algorithm by commenting if you're so against it? Again, zero integrity. Point stands.
