Part 10: • Jaz-O on Why He Never ...
Part 8: • Jaz-O on Jay-Z Avoidin...
Part 1: • Jaz-O on Growing Up in...
--------
In this clip, Jaz-O talks about the reasons why he moved to Atlanta, sighting his need to work on his religious self. He explains that his interest in spirituality stemmed from his brief stint in London, overseas, and his interaction with a British woman named June. She sparked his interest in religion which eventually led to him joining a spiritual group in Atlanta, upon his move back to the sates. But nevertheless, his connection to Jay-Z caused him to move back home to New York. After living with Jay-Z and his family, Jaz-O eventually moved his family to Georgia, where we would move back and forth between the two states for work.

Yet Jay Z embodies what he learned from it through Jaz. "Jay Hova"? Jehovah? What Christian, Muslim or even 5% calls themselves Jehovah? That's way past calling oneself a "god". Jay Z may not have wanted to be associated with the Nuwaupian teachings, but he subtly let people know a long time ago that he knew teachings from that "cult", and those who knew, knew.

All of their materials are shoddy af. That’s why I’ve been so intrigued why it runs so deep in hiphop of that era. Especially so called ’conscious’ era taking so much from something that would never fly on a modern teenager.
