VLOG#1: Playing the Top Ranked APA Female Pool Player in Las Vegas

Күн бұрынMy APA team made it to the Tri Tournament at Mickey's Cues and Brews in Las Vegas, Nevada. The team won the first round and I won my first match but did not have video for it. In the second round, I was matched up against Amy, the highest ranked APA female pool player in Clark County. I never played her before due to her being in another league.

Thanks for posting. I'm a 6 in Sacramento APA 9 ball and enjoyed watching this. You shot well overall and put pressure on her, which took her out of her game. Don't let these guys with egos ruin your moment. If they're better, no one cares. And if they expected professional, or A-player level pool then there are other videos they could watch. There is no need for them to be disrespectful

You got that right... Half these chodes offering one pocket spots to 9ball players are just a bunch of old men who can't hittem like they used to. Good match and good shooting. I play out of Maryland. I play 8ball, 9ball, masters and scotch doubles leagues. Currently rated a 9 in 9ball and a 7 in 8ball. Shoot well bro.

Good job on your first video Fada. I can see you enjoy it. Gotta say leagues have changed quite a bit since the days of valley and bca in the late 90s. When they added the handicap system it ruined it for alot of great players. I toured quite a bit during that time and the early 2000s before the big diamond fiasco. That was when pool was at its biggest. If things wouldn't of gone bad pool would be getting alot more exposure now. Biggest reason I stopped touring. Now you have shows like mississippi men showing that tuna Matt hustling pool. Just giving it a bad name again. Good players don't hustle they arrange matches before hand and play for high stakes like gentlemen. Keep up the good work buddy . Don't worry about haters they can't help themselves and pool has always had egos .

Thanks for sharing. Here is my idea. At 2 min 15 sec, I think you were confident with the table condition. But with very small outside English(or inside English) and faster stroke, you could have avoided unnecessary risk. Just a reminder for myself :)

@@miamiwax5504 I try creative shots like that all the time in friendly matches with nothing on the line. Helps you get out of a lot of safeties. I've even kicked three rails into a combination shot where the 2nd ball hit was banked into a pocket. Ask me to do it again, though, and I probably can't 😂

+Kate Tanaka that was my first video I've ever recorded for pool. Yes you are 100% correct. Prior to working with Mike, I use to punch and poke at the ball. Definitely have to follow thru the ball.

The slop in apa accounts for a low single digit percentage of shots that occur. I really don't know why people give the apa so much crap.

@@elh3fe88 I don't know why anyone would complain about slop in 9 ball in any organization. Slop has always counted in 9-ball. I have been beaten very few times in 8 ball in the APA because of slop. The better shooter comes out on top usually regardless of the rule set. Some people just love to hate on APA in general.

APA 9 ball is more about points than 9 balls pocketed...making an early 9 scores 2 points and all the balls you leave on the table are counted as dead balls which receives no points...only time you want to pocket an early 9 is when there are no other options and get the next break

You guys would be 3s out here in joliet illinois. Will county has the best amateur players in apa and bca. Jeff Sergent won nationals 3 times. Mike bandy. Justin peralez. Zavala Jr. James Johnson. To name a few.

Ryan Koehler I'm outside of Philly, PA (about an hour and a half) and the pyramid scheme here is strong. They bump everyone up so they can split teams and make more money. Which sucks cause when you go to Vegas you wonder how you're ranked how you are. I'm an 8 in 9-ball and don't think I have the consistency to be an 8.

+Drockvr4 not sure how they figure out the levels of each individual. A lot of people has issues with that all over the country. I think they might need to revisit their algorithm of their ranking system.

That's a moronic statement. APA skill level is determined by the number of innings needed with consideration to safeties played. Is that different in Joliet? If you guys aren't marking safeties it makes a huge difference.

Ryan Scott what im saying.... I ran a 3 pack tonight dicking around on my 4" pockets at my pool hall half trashed with a house cue. I was so lazy I didn't want to walk and get my cues from the car. I'm glad I'm not the only one too! Wtf is this!? Lol both of them can get the 7 out.

Oh for sure. Nothing against them at all, I'm sure in the apa they are decent players. But when you title it with "top" player, in expecting to see some racks being ran. Especially bar box 9 ball? Come on bro, That's as simple as it gets. I'd be a little more understanding if they were shooting on a big table
