owned one of this from 96-2000.. one of the best handling pocket rocket and best 2A bike ever! it doesn't do 240kmh, the gear isn't that tall. 220kmh there about! It's non-vtec.. what valve opening he is talking about? It's just a old school high cam does it work over 8k rpm. It is restricted at 180kmh stock, but speed limiter are easily bypass from the speedo meter! So much memory with this classic bike

I regretted selling but enjoyed every minute on this bike. Still miss my RVF. Good luck selling it bro!

Hi bro.. i rode a 2006 super4 spec 3 before.. can reach abt 200km/hr.. 120km/hr-140km/hr is too low.. class 2b bike can go faster than 120km/hr also...

I'm the poor ah Beng, so I rode Suzuki GSXR 400...but this was my dream, even back in the 90s this was already over 10K

Used to own 1 between 2004 and 2006. Awesome bike. Difference between the RVF400 and the CBR400RR is the engine. The RVF400 uses the V4 engine as compared to the typical inline4 of the CBR400RR/Super 4. Hence the RVF400 has that unique exhaust tune..😊 For someone who says that this was his dream bike, his lack in knowledge of this legendary bike does not do it justice in this review. The more times I keep watching this review, the more I feel that it should be removed before it gives a bad name to the RVF. Because the RVF is one the best bikes I owned. No issues at all during my ownership. Or maybe cause I didn't whack till 240km/hr. No offence to uploader. Your other bike reviews were good. Except for this one. I guess just wrong owner interviewed.

Sweet bike.

No disrespect to the owner but he has no clue on this great machine of that era. Stock bike speed is limited at 180. There are 2 ways to de restrict and that allow 225kmh. Top speed is lesser than cbr400 at 240 but the rvf has a better acceleration due to its v4 engine, which is still very rare for production bikes. V4 gives it a signature exhaust note. Hrc parts are hard to comeby, and they work in a combination. Which then unleashes its full potential. Most importantly, this bike produced in 1996 had a oem slipper clutch. No real use on the road, but made a difference on track against the cbrs. The first big bike that had slipper clutch was suzuki k5....rvf was ahead by almost a decade.

When speaking or talking about the fuel consumption, you should mention the kilometers per liter.

Rode rvf from 2005-2008. Back in the days for sportsbike is the big4. pgm4 250 honda ,rs250aprila , rvf and cbr 400fireblade. Even though now u might have r3 ktm rc390 ninja400. But the horsepower really lose. Like 39-40hp of modern 2a compare to 53-56hp of older class 2a. Rvf pros: v4 engine,usd fork,pro arm . double front brakedisc. Excellent pickup n midrange. V stable in corner. Top end good but cbr400 top end stronger. That being said,age definitely caught up on rvf (curburator) compare to newer technology like Fuel injection bike. Abs. Ecu error code display etc etc. Nevertheless one of the legend on the road! 9/10 for 3yrs with it. Cheers
