I don't know if someone already explained the brown sugar shaken espresso, but you're supposed to get the syrup you like, shots of espresso and ice, shake it and then add your milk of choice, at least that's how it's done in Starbucks in Europe :) But for sure make the way you like more!

to make a „real“ shaken espresso-> put your espresso, flavoring and ice in your cup and shake then pour your milk over that. that’s all, but i’m sure your version tastes so good too 🤓🩵

Since you have to work so much on your laptop, I recommend getting a laptop stand (probably in combination with a bluetooth keyboard). It‘s really good for your posture and back/neck, because you are not looking down but looking more straight ahead. It‘s definitely been an improvement for me, maybe this helps. Love your videos!🩵

At Starbucks we shake the ice, syrup, and espresso and then pour it into your cup. Then milk after. But either way works, shaking it with milk mixes it all nicely!

Sara! I’m more of a silent viewer but I just wanted to recommend the cutest little bookstore I found in Brooklyn the other day! It’s called The Ripped Bodice and it’s a “romantic bookstore” as they call it. Literally everything in there is baby pink and it’s FULL of primarily romance books.

Having lived in Italy for almost 2 years, I use a Moka for my coffee, its the closest taste to having an espresso at a cafe (unless you have an real espresso machine), and of course then add your desired amount of milk, have it cold or hot! Just be sure your coffee grounds are relatively fresh and if you like a less bitter coffee you want to go with a medium roast!

Hey Sara love your videos! I have been a barista for a long time and recently got the opportunity to help my sister open her own bookstore with a coffee shop. I get the pleasure to create drinks while being surrounded by books. I have a suggestion for your coffee making. You can keep doing the same thing or you can try this order. -shots of espresso with vanilla in bottom of cup/jar -add ice on top of shots -shake -add milk after and stir Let me know if this helps and can’t wait to see what you read next 😄

love this video! the trader joe’s haul was not boring, i like seeing what other people get (: & ur basically making the drink right but the only thing that’s different is you shake just the espresso with the syrup flavor and ice (cinnamon too if you want) then you pour that into a cup and top off with the milk/creamer! but i always say if it taste good ur doin something right 😂

the adidas samba shoes will forever remind me of my history and english teacher from school because he used to wear them all the time and he just wasn´t it so I can´t find them cute for the life of me xD I have Reeboks and they´re comfortable as soon as you put them on, so you don´t have to break or wear them in like other shoes so I can really recommend them

Starbucks barista here. to make the brown sugar shaken, we add ice, cinnamon powder, brown sugar syrup, and espresso to a shaker and shake it 5-10 times. then, we pour that in a cup. then we top it with the oatmilk & cinnamon powder

🧡BARISTAAA HEREEEE 🧡 you definitely should continue mixing syrup with shots first (good job). Nothing is wrong with pouring shots on top of the milk and ice ( unless you are making a Carmel machiato esq type drink then do this order : cup-> ice->syrup on ice-> milk-> shots-> Carmel). BUT if you are doing shaken espressos I recommend shaking shots + lots of ice + flavor , shake this up first then top with milk! This aerates the shots better :)

You should add your syrup to the espresso and just shake that up! Fill the jar with ice and the espresso. Then add the milk and more ice if needed. That is what I do at home for the exact same drink!

the way you make coffee is like a good at home version, maybe a bigger shaker might make it more like how starbucks does. also you can buy the exact vanilla syrup from starbucks, french vanilla is good but it is hazelnut and vanilla together which is also delicious but if you want more like starbucks you can buy the exact syrup from there. i used to work at starbucks and i loooove making at home versions, i have perfected making a drink they used to have (coconut caramel macchiato) and just a simple coconut iced mocha 😂 you're doing great at home and its fun to just experiment!

I would recommend shaking your milk/creamer, syrup and coffee together then pour over ice. It’ll help not water it down and give that “shaken” vibe lol but do what you like and what tastes best! 🫶🏻 No need to over complicate coffee 😂 And yes we love seeing your trader haul 🥹🤩
