As you may tell by my pic I’m Hispanic (Caribbean) and most Mineral sunscreens are 1000%WHITE CAST... so I’m spending much time at store testing possible clear ones so I can order them on line. So far I had order a couple of the Japanese Shisiero ones you mentioned. I’m trusting the translation of ingredients you did lol lol bc I have no idea... but omg it so great on my skin!!! Houston looks like the typical American town you see on an after-school special or in a coming of age movie. PS: Red Rose is the name of the most Canadian of teas, and it’s only available in orange pekoe because any sort of alternative would shock and appall middle Canada tea drinkers. Red Rose is in every supermarket, gas station, convenience store etc in the entire country, probably even up in the Yukon or Northwest Territories.

I have the Stratia Liquid Gold. I use it at night because it leaves a hint of yellow on my very pale skin that makes me look as if I have jaundice, hehehee. But overall I like it. Nice combo of ingredients, no fragance, very light and it has helped me a lot with the cold winter in Norway. It did not irritate my skin or caused me a breakout, even though I am very, very sensitive, but it makes my eyes water a little for a while, so I will not repurchase it.

I love your U tube videos. Your personality is wonderful , I think your very funny and I appreciate you sharing all your expertise with the world. I wish I could use some of the products you use, but my skin is very sensitive. I can not use any Ceravae products at all, they burn the heck out of my face ..and a few other products u mentioned burned my face. Anyways, my daughters are loving your advice and they can use them, thank u again 😃 I love the Habo Laba, Curel, Neutrogena products are awesome 😁 I appreciate the no scrubbing advice, no wash cloth has really improved my skin,, I threw out all the scrubby things 😁

Hi Dr.Dray ☺️I bought the Elva MD UV Clear sunscreen and I love it ! But I have noticed every time I wear it I get this headache 🤕 around the eyes mainly ! This also happens when I was tried the CeraVe sunscreen as well ! Not sure why or if it’s in any relation to the sunscreen ! But just thought to see if you have any thoughts 💭 could a sunscreen cause headache !? 🧐

Maybe you can help me with something. I can’t use any moisturizer or chapstick or gloss or lipstick. It triggers fever blisters. I can use absolutely no oils or balms. It’s miserable. Nothing. Dr Dray - would wait for that 😊. I know cetaphil doesn’t work well as a cleanser but everything else irritates my skin. I follow your advice to a T but this is the only thing that I can’t do. I have tried gentle, creamy, hydrating, foaming, non-foaming cleansers from every well known brand but my skin can only take cetaphil. Maybe because it doesn’t do anything 😀. Looking forward to your video 😊.

First time commenting! I love and appreciate your channel and have learned so much from you. To chime in on Stratia Liquid Gold: I wanted to try a product with ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids. Initially, I was using Cerave PM for that purpose, but it stung my face every time I used it, even after trying for a few weeks. I wasn't sure if it was the niacinemide or something else, but I figured if I used LG and it still burned I'd have my answer. I'm happy to report it doesn't sting my face at all and my skin looks great since I've been using it. I'm still a little heartbroken about the Cerave PM since it's cheaper, but Stratia LG has been a great alternative for me.

Same! Particularly in my case, because I tried the Cerave moisturizing cream (which, as you've mentioned, doesn't contain niacinemide) and experienced the same stinging sensation. I wonder what's causing it...

Hi Dr. Dray! I'm so glad I've got upload notifications on so I never miss a video :D I'm planning to take probiotics to help with acne and my gut. The options I have are the L. acidophilus + B. lactis with colostrum, and the other option is without colostrum. Which one would likely be more beneficial for my acne? The one with colostrum or without? Could hormones in the colostrum worsen my acne? Thank you so much!

I am enjoying so much what I am learning here....thank you! I have recently been using some of the Japanese sunscreens for my face and they are fantastic under makeup. Do you have any recommendations for Japanese sunscreens for the body?? Are any sold on Amazon?? It is snowing here in Pittsburgh today, but eventually the sun will show up ? and spring will come ? and I will need sunscreen for my arms and legs.

I'm so excited that you're trying the Stratia liquid gold! I've seen a lot of people mix it into their regular night moisturizer to add extra moisture- I'd love to see what your thoughts are. As for COSRX, there is a liquid version of the snail mucin that has rave reviews.

I recently bought the Stratia gold when I was going through a barrier repair period. It is nice... but I feel like it doesn’t create enough of an occlusive barrier over my skin. It’s nice, but for $24+ shipping... I probably won’t repurchase.

Dr Dray, what is Clindamycin and why did my dermatologist prescribe it along with Tretinoin .05 cream? Isn’t it more Tretinoin? She wants me to use CeraVe foaming cleanser and clindamycin 2x/day, followed by Tretinoin and CeraVe PM at night and CeraVe AM in the morning. After watching your videos, I could have almost prescribed it myself lol... I do plan on using my rosehip oil blend as a double cleanse with CeraVe makeup remover wipes - or maybe neutrogena instead - followed by the foaming cleanser. Is it enough sunscreen?

I have a question.. my lips are always dry and seem to never get hydrated. I’ve been using all sorts of Burt’s bees moisturizing lip balm and a few cheaper brands and none of them seem to be doing anything. What would you recommend I use on my lips to get and keep them moisturized?

avoid burt, first of all....laden with problematic essential oils/fragrance; use vaniply, cerave healing ointment, or plain vaseline....and reapply frequently

Will do! I’ve mainly been using it just because I got a 4 pack of them as a little Christmas gift and I absolutely hate to waste things. I will definitely invest in the vaniply and cerave.

Dr. Dray, the La Roche Posay Mineral Sunscreen you have linked in your description box is a Titanium Dioxide only sunscreen. Is that good enough on it's own or does this need to be layered with a zinc oxide sunscreen to get the full UVA protection? Thank you in advance.

Hi, 2 things. 1) i wanted to ask what to do if you really don't want skin cancer on your eyelids but every time you try to apply sunscreen it wildly irritates your eyes for like 30 + mins and causes them to water, probably removing most of the sunscreen. i've really taken to heart your skin care advice. i've been using the CeraVe am moisturizer every day and have been trying to make sure i am protecting my skin. but my eye's can't seem to handle sunscreen no matter how carefully i apply it. Are there any super super gentle options? 2) i grew up with a very European mom who often equates cost with value when it comes to skincare. i was wondering if you could review some high end facial moisturizes and creams from brands like Tata Harper, La Mer, La prairie, Caudalie. I wonder if there are active ingredients in those moisturizer that are worth the price? And of course if those ingredients are found in cheaper brands. Also thanks so much for these vids, I feel like I've learned so much, and my skin is looking sooo good!

Would love your wisdom on fingernail conditions and treatments in future video....my hands are BUSY!!! Which is a good thing!....not fungal problem but fingernails are prone to splitting...weak, dry? Dietary supplement suggestions? Frequent hand washing...don’t take time to use gloves for dishwashing and general housecleaning ...HELP Dr Dray!!!! 😁

I love Red Rose black tea even though it’s a little pricier than regular old Lipton. Will have to check out these flavored teas. May I ask what you have on the back of your phone. I looked at PopSockets and they didn’t appeal to me. Great video as always. I always share your information and channel when “beauty gurus” talk about sunscreen application inaccurately.

What do you think of consumer reports rating of sunscreens based on their own tests of spf efficacy ? In particular they say mineral sunscreens test at a much lower spf than states and recommend using chemical ones?

hi i'm on retina right now. Theres this moisturizer i want to try its the earth science almond aloe fragrance free but i noticed that one of the last ingredients is lactic acid. Should i stay away from it while i'm on retina a. I think you said before that certain acids may stop the retina from working correctly. Whats your opinion on this?

Dr Dray I actually bought the missha time revolution essence and despite really good reviews I got breakouts and an allergic reaction from it. Was quite disappointed. I have dry/sensitive skin and discovered others with similar skin types had allergic reactions to it too and it was due to a specifoc alcohol ingredient. But I have had good experiences with the super aqua waterful cream by missha and one of the sunscreens...but those contain essences sadly.
