1. Never in my life have I seen a Black interior designer and I'm so pleasantly surprised I got to see that here AND she was dope 2. I've also never seen so many POC involved in interior design projects I love it! 😊😍🙌

Same I saw the first shot of it and was like okay maybe they're gonna move it, then they did the walk-through and it was still there. I don't see how she can open the fridge with it so close

Kaileigh Lewis my exact thought process! She did say aesthetic >function though. But for me, being able to open my fridge is nonnegotiable.

RooHue I feel you! And there’s enough space to pull the table and chairs back from the fridge a bit. I L O V E her space; it’s very similar to mine. However, that kitchen layout could defo be different

Love various ways books were displayed, repurposing of items the client already had, coherent color story, and seems like such an expression of the client's interests and style. Excited to see the rest of the home's decor videos. Designer seems really pleasant to work with.

Wow!! It turned out sooo good!! I loved the floating shelves, entry way, and the bookshelf behind the couch. We stan our sis using another sis who’s an interior designer!! Yasss, Kia!!

I aint gonna lie I was kinda worried the way she explained it and not coming in with some illustrated plans but MAN she did the dang thang!!! KUDOS to this sistah! And I love love the neutrals. Sometimes artists need a relief from color to refresh and rejuvenate when it comes back to doing our artwork or creativity. Sometimes the eye and brain need a break from vibrancy. So I get the idea of a calming soothing neutral space to relax in an oasis home. I LOVE IT!!

absolutely Love your space. it's giving me a Boho chic vibe without looking trashy cheap and thrown together. I love the earth tones and this space doesn't look like others on YT with all of the bling, white and gray.

I LOVE that you took us on the journey with the interior designer and discussed the style choices. Also great to confirm that you can re-purpose so much of what you have in your space already and make it work.

*Suggestion for the scratch on the table* - Please don't use a wood filler. It will always look dinky and fillers shrink over time. Go Wabi Sabi. Paint the scratch gold (first you sand & prime, then red paint, then gold for maximum flash and depth). Celebrate life's imperfections. I am so amazed by your space. It is truly stunning. this comment is really random and two months after the video was posted and this is the first video of her’s I’ve seen, but I love the way she did advertised for skillshare. it didn’t feel like she was delivering information about how she has used skillshare in the past, she was actually explaining how it helped her now and included it in telling the story of her redesigning of her apartment. it flowed so smoothly with the rest of the video!

This is unrelated to this video but I found your videos through first, the tour of the RealReal space in NY, then your thrifting videos made me subscribe. Your overall attitude is so appealing but more than that, you make me more confident in my finding of preloved/thrifted finds. I don't know why anyone would pay full price when you can find something in great condition for a better price (although like you I will admit to buying some things on full price...)- and your lookbooks really bring me inspiration!
