Oh Annie, I don’t think I have ever commented before but I have to now. I discovered Anna’s channel around a month ago and have been binge watching her videos! It has been amazing to learn all the information and to start integrating her routines. And the crazy thing is: I have been thinking about you while watching the video. Because you are a huge inspiration and this clean, beautiful, cared for look simply reminded me of you 💞 I took of my gel nails 2-3 years ago and i know how difficult this process is. And while I still love the look, I have never went back to gel. Thank you for all of your content. I am looking forward to your videos every week 💞 Sending love from Berlin, xx Ronja

Mental health is everything! It is even more important than physical because all disease starts from the mind. I wish every person struggling with mental health especially anxiety or depression to find peace soon. Special thought for pregnant women going through these issues, everything will be fine ❤️

Nail Technician here! If your NT is doing a complete removal of your gel, and going over the same area every time you need to get a new NT. It’s standard to leave a thin layer of gel so you’re not filing the natural nail plate over and over. Hope that helps someone.

Agree. She shouldnt be filing the nail again. My nail salong has made my nails so much longer and they are stronger because of the protective gel they put on. Annie try another salong❤

I also started a natural nail journey a few years ago, then kind of went back to overusing nail polish (never really been a shellac/gel person, just had a few random periods where I’ve been getting those type of manicures, but always got annoyed with them after 2-3 rounds, and my nails would be damaged for weeks-months, and I went to salons who were really good and gently removed the gel/shellac). I noticed that even with just nail polish, at least some brands (even the ones claiming to be free of different toxins) my nails would still get damaged. I’m back on my natural nail journey now, and I’ve learned so much on how to file and jojoba oil is literally holy grail! I can’t wait to check out the channel you suggested, cause my mission is to have FAB natural nails✨🙌🏻

I have also been on a nail journey since the new year after having gel nails for a while. My nails were so fragile and weak after taking the nails off. I have been massaging a thick cream into my hands and nails at night and putting some soft cotton gloves on my hands to sleep in to keep the moisture in. I have also been taking calcium tablets daily. Now my nails are so naturally long and strong, they look so nice and healthy and I’m embracing the natural look

omgg this is totally the video i needed to see! I have consistently been getting my gel manicures for years, and I feel the same way about the chemicals and damage.. I got rid of the gel for a couple of weeks and it was soooo hard and frustrating, and I didn't like people looking at my hands, so i ended up getting gel again. But this has inspired me to try again, and use some of the tips you mentioned!

I had gel nails for years and my natural nails became so fragile and weak. I transitioned to nail wraps and they worked well to give me a polished look while they began to strengthen and grow. Removing the nail wraps was done with coconut oil. I think it has been about two years since I even stopped doing the wraps and just focused on using nail oil on a regular basis and only occasionally paint them with a clear or sheer pink polish. They have stopped peeling and are strong and healthy now. I think I began thinking about how royalty jn England care for their nails and how a natural look is so much more elegant and decided to give that a try. I’m looking forward to following your nail journey. I live in Dallas, Texas USA and we have had warmer days and a lot of rain. We don’t complain about the rain as the summers are long, hot and dry here!

While I do believe in “to each their own”, and also feel the same pressures for things to be “perfect” or “aesthetic”, I now prefer to pursue my own version of elegance. I have maintained healthy, natural nails for many years now, and find them to be the most elegant, not only on myself, but others.

Dear Annie, that's why I'm using old method for removing gel polish, using foil, cotton, acetone, just wrap nails in foil using cotton and acetone for 10 min, and then remove the gel using stick, it doesn't damage your nails at all 🥰

Hello dear Annie. I always have brittle nails and 2 years ago I buy this capsules : Huebner Silicea Skin Hair Nails Compact Gel Capsules. They are about 20eur, for really short time you can see result, after 10-14 days you will see your nails will be strong, shiny and healthy again, vey good vitamin Zink, Biotin, Silicium. Now I dont't need to drink anymore, they stay storng, healthy and grow very fast even after 1 year later.. I am very happy with my natural nails

Hi Annie! Lovely video ❤️ It really touched me when you said how it inspires you when you see Nalia and her natural beauty and skin etc With that being said I always loved you for years but I always thought you would wear too much of makeup or try to be perfect too hard (this is btw the most honest opinion and comes only from place of love and no judgment) I know you love to be put together especially now as a mum, you want to feel and look good but I sometimes really dislike that you are always in videos so perfect - everything looks too perfect on you from hair to makeup and looks and you look like a Barbie doll. Please think about being more natural and appreciating your natural beauty cause omg you're so beautiful - why not letting you hair be a bit “messy” but at least more natural sometimes? My fav is when you vlog and have no make up cause that shows your real beauty. Again, hope you won't find my comment offending as it really comes from place of love and admiration - but we as women should def try to enforce the natural look in this age of artificial everything

Hi Annie! First of all I want to tell you how much I look forward to every Wednesday for your new vlog, I really enjoy them. Secondly I'm really glad to see you taking care of your nails, it's so important. I use to get a manicure done as well, but my nails never reacted too good and when 😢got pregnant I stopped and haven't started again. I ll definitely check out that channel you've mentioned, but I saw that she used urea which is NOT HEALTHY for our bodies at all. It's derived of petrol I think! There are brands such as Sante and Benecos (both old established organic skincare brands) which offer cheap nail polish and products and of course there are more expensive and fancier brands as well... Just a thought. Big hug🤗 and keep it up!

It’s so funny to listen to people overseas who say 26/27 degrees Celsius is hot. I’m from Australia, if you want hot move here. That temp is a nice day here, it’s when it goes 20 degrees higher than that again in our summers, is when you know what hot really is. Enjoy your lovely weather!!

I have once heard a great advice on cuticles: once one stops cutting them, they stop growing that much and over time one doesn't have to push them back, cut etc. I can 100%ly confirm it works! Just hydrate the area and generally leave them alone to balance their growth.

Hi Annie, I particularly found this video so so informative about nails. I suffer from weak brittle damaged nails full of ridges for many years, however it’s been about 6 months that they’re the worst they’ve ever been as they split in half over the nail bed, and it’s so painful when I’m doing simple tasks like showering, combing my hair, housework, that the nails get caught and it’s so painful that lifts the nail halfway. So I would like to ask you, will the jojoba oil, the catrice nail repair that Anne suggested on her channel, btw she’s so good too as I didn’t come up with someone that explains everything about nails in such a detailed form, so thank you for that too, but you also suggested the kerasal, do you advice me to buy all 3, or maybe try one of them that will help me most? I live in Australia, so I’m also thinking about postage. I would appreciate your recommendation, and look forward to your reply.

Why not just use GELISH instead of the acryl? I never understood it actually. Gelish (just the nailpolish itself) stays on for 2,5 - 3 weeks without any damage. It's great. What does that mean "letting go of things not being perfect" (re. nails). They weren't perfect when they were covered/ destroyed with acryl either. You had the ILLUSION of perfect. Many ppl said this that cutting the cuticle is not needed and in fact damaging, but they were called all kinds of names, comments got deleted. Proven again, until one is not ready to HEAR, there is no point of educating anyone.. xx..
