love your dorm room! the only thing that's iffy is that fact that your bed has no rail, i would most definitely fall off in the middle of the night!

You get used to it. I had my bed up that high my freshman year and hated it at first. Eventually your body just knows not to roll too far haha

Whoa you're at IU?? I've lived super close to their my whole life and I've stayed in some of the dorms before....they're definitely not the nicest haha!

Oh my gosh, you're so confident! I'd be such a scared mess :O So happy you're enjoying it so far Katy! do freshmen HAVE to stay in dorms on campus in America?? I've just lived at home and drove into uni for the past three years

No we don't have to. Many kids go to local colleges and live at home, some go nearby but live on campus & some just go far and live on campus. It's all personal preference. :)

ahoyitsabby there are actually a couple of colleges that make the freshmen all stay in the dorms. At least in my state and the surrounding states.

Yes a uni that I'm interested in lets freshman either stay in dorms or have a place off of campus. But if you wanna live on campus it has to be in a dorm.

Been reading the comments and it seems that a lot of people are super scared to put themselves out there which is super understandable. I'm only going to be a high school senior this year but It would be so cool of you to maybe make a video on how to get comfortable and eased into the college social and academic life. Just an idea :)

at my school, you can put in a work order with the University Housing office and they can get you a rail! Idk how that works at her school, though.

I've slept in a bunk bed without a rail for over 9 years and I have never fallen off the bed. And I sleep pretty close to the edge too.

There is no like "orientation eve" unfortunately there are a couple of events but idk where. It just seems like everyone is making friends so fast

Awww, this is so sweet. I remember my first college move-in day. It kind of felt like I was going to camp. Dorms tend to feel that way, but they're a nice experience for a year or so.

i have the same shoe rack thingy that's in the bottom of your closet! i put mine on a shelf in my closet and i put my shoes on it, its pretty sturdy, i really like it. hope you have fun in college, and you continue to make AMAZING videos, as always!

Wow, it's great that you've made friends so soon! It's been a month and a half since my freshman year of college started, and now I've made two good friends. I was really miserable for the first two or three weeks (I'm actually still very homesick, although I went home to visit my parents two weeks ago), but...
