Good for you for over coming you fear of uber. I think they have it where you can notify a family member when you get in a car. In addition a family mbr can add you to their gps-phone locator to see your where abouts. Also you can call /video chat and keep someone on the phone while you are riding so they can hear and see what is going on.

Did you go the day before the convention started or the day of ? I’m attending Chicago this year and I don’t know whether to fly in the day it starts or come the day before
