Hellloooo! My name is Clancy and I'm originally from Long Island, NY, whch is about 40 minutes from NYC. In 2017, I moved to Ohio to become a TV news reporter, but after waking up at 2 a.m. for 5 years, I decided to leave that job and pursue KZfaq full-time.
I recently bought a house in Cincinnati and love making all kinds of videos, focusing on everything from money and finances (saving, budgeting, and being financally independent in your 20's) to health, fitness, and nutrition, to beauty and fashion.

As someone who has no kids but does have two nephews, I highly recommend taking advice as kind suggestions rather than law. Everyone thinks they know what's best, but every child is different. What worked with my older nephew would never work with the younger one, and that's okay! You two are gonna be amazing parents and have an amazing support system, so just keep being you, and you'll do great! I'm so excited to see where this adventure takes you guys!❤

I love the brand arms reach playpen where you can have the pen right next to your bed(lines up with your bed height) and have the baby next to you but safely! It also converts to a full-size playpen when older.

*my baby registry was on amazon + target + buy buy baby. a lot of people from out of town bought amazon & was just shipped to my house super easy & buy buy baby just had amazing deals & so much variety + things other stores didn’t, but target is def more accessible to a wider variety of people so that’s why I made sure to do that as well. i made sure to start mine around 22 weeks and added to it up until the time my baby shower was here so i wasn’t rushed and made sure i had the things i really needed and wanted on there that were most practical.* 💕

I’m pregnant with my first baby, I’m loving Babylist. You can add from different stores or brands. I love how easy it is to use. You can see what’s been purchased and if you want can see who bought what, which makes it easy for writing Thank you cards. Hope that’s helpful. Obviously do research and decide what you want to do. ❤

We never used our crib (everyone is different) but we decided to put her bed on the floor so she could get out of bed in the morning if we needed to get ready. It has been a life saver for sleep! Even for her, too! We kept her in a bedside bassinet for 6 months and then packnplay in our bedroom until she could crawl at 10/11 months ❤

create a registry on all of them! Have a main one but utilize the others for the discount. I just had a baby and our main registry was babylist - it was great and SO organized. They made it easy!!

For myself and my baby, we splurged (got brand new) on important stuff like car seat/travel system stroller, bottles, wearable breast pump, painting the nursery. And thrifted things like the crib, bassinet, bouncers, etc. also! Even the splurge items were added to the registry and gifted to us. Also, 10/10 recommend local mom 2 mom sales

I definitely recommend an online registry + one people can shop at in person. The benefit for in person is that people who do super last-minute shopping (like me) and still get a gift before the shower without having to wait on Amazon delivery. 😂

First off, congratulations!!! I will say that as a first-time mom, I splurged on a diaper bag. It had changing pad, wipe holder, 4 bottle holdera. It was great! I got a decent crib. It went from a crib to a toddler bed. I splurged on the mattress. Baby registry: amazon, Target, and Walmart For clothes buy them cheap. The baby will outgrow and mess them up. At the end of the day, always do what's best for you all. And again congratulations!!!

I loved Babylist for both my kids. I just liked the option of people being able to buy the product wherever they wanted and then being able to mark it “purchased.”

I say splurge on the stroller and the car seat. Bed should be comfy but not too expensive. Your baby won’t be in it for long. They do have those cribs that transform into a kid’s bed. The end of it turns into the headboard or something like that. But strollers are important. I had two. A heavy duty one that you could just carry the car seat out and attach it to the stroller and then a lightweight fold out one when my baby got a little older. Most little things like baby food warmers, etc. we’re not necessary at all. Love you, by the way and soooo happy for you!

Baby stuff: splurge on the items that will be used constantly, eg crib, change table, car seat & high chair (when you get to that stage). Don't spend a lot on clothing, because they wear each outfit for such a short time (spit up, nappy leaks) and also grow out of things quickly. Thankfully I was one of the last of my friends to have kids, so I had lots of hand-me-downs. I bought a nice outfit to come home from hospital and for their christenings (unlucky that I couldn't hand things down for those since one was born in spring and one in winter, and they were totally different sizes).

I did four registries only because they gave samples boxes/bags 😅 Amazon, Walmart, Amazon, and Buy buy baby Also splurge on either the Nestig or Babyletto convertible crib! Goes from small bassinet to crib to toddler bed

My baby registries were on Target and Amazon! Made it so easy. I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but once the baby is born, Once Upon a Child consignment shop is where it's at. You can find some wonderful, gently used things for cheap, which is clutch when the little ones grow so fast!

I used Babylist for my registry and loved it. It was nice to add things from a bunch of different stores all in one place. I did make separate registries for Walmart, Target, and Amazon for the baby boxes though. (All of them synced to my Babylist one)

My oldest son and our dog are 10 months apart and they’re best friends! They’re 7&8 now. Been best friends for almost 8 years. He’s a yellow lab. Best thing I ever did for my sons is give them a dog to grow up with!

My sister had hers on babylist. It was so helpful because it had links to Target, Amazon, Walmart, etc. Hopefully you can get help from family with the registry and all! Looking forward to more days in your life!! Also it will be ok with a pet. My sister has a cat and the cat ignores the baby for now lol.

I did my baby registry through baby list! Because baby list allows me to put anything from any website onto the list Amazon, target etc literally any website it’s super easy. There are instructions in the beginning when u create it on how to set it up so all you have to do is click a button when you see something you like and it adds it on immediately!!

I haven’t made a baby registry but I will say baby list is my favorite to shop on for expectant mommas. It’s so easy to shop and shows you the least expensive place to buy or fastest shipping, etc.

I highly recommend the Guava Lotus pack and play (we also did the bassinet converter kit) we used it as his only bed till he turned two. Its completely toxic free, no sprays or VOCs, convenient, easy to travel with and it doesn't have a weight limit (because the mattresses is actually supported by the floor and not suspended eith bars. I was so glad it was recommended to us and I cant stop singing its praises over a more standard pack and play.

Hi Clancy, congratulations on your pregnancy! I’ve been dairy free for a number of years now (my stomach cannot handle any dairy outside of butter 😩) I’m not a huge fan of Daiya products but two vegan Mac n cheese products that I enjoy are the one by the Amy’s brand (it’s a frozen Mac n cheese so you just heat it up in the oven) and years ago I had the mac and chao by the brand Field Roast and I really enjoyed that. I was such a cheese lover before I went dairy free so I’m really into finding great vegan cheese options. If you try them I hope you enjoy it!

Baby list can have links to any site! Splurge on the Doona infant seat/stroller and a toddler car seat that rotates. I regret spending $1000+ on a convertible crib. Halo bassinet with the collapsible side is a must! Dock a tot or something similar is a must. Loved the Tush baby side carrier, and a regular front carrier for when they’re infants.

amazon registry! they have almost everything and you get 15% 90 days before and after your due date in everything off your registry. in case you need to pick up something things that weren’t purchased. you can keep adding things to your registry even after baby is here to get the discount lol

When my dogs were pups, I used to feed them three times a day. They had 'lunch'. Even at daycare. If Asher is as active as he looks he could handle the caloric load. When they are a little older, you simply wean them off lunch..... Simply a suggestion. Definitely not suggesting anything bad.

As a first time mom to a now 10 month old, here are my tips! Splurge on stroller (good quality and easy to push and comfy seat for baby), car seat, and baby carrier (I use Ergo baby). We went mid-range for a crib (Amazon or Target), bassinet, and minimal on clothes (simple onsies are best). One more tip: Dreamland baby weighted swaddle. They are amazing and super helpful for baby to sleep!

Splurge - maybe the car seat and stroller. But cribs and bassinets don’t have to be super expensive. We went with the highest rated safety car seat at the time that was at a more reasonable price. I registered at target, Amazon and some sites like baby list I think can pull things in from other lists.

People usually try a few brands of bottles, pacifiers, swaddlers so don't buy big quantity of each item. Just maybe 1 or 2 of a few brands. Because the baby might not want to use the 1 brand you bought. That 4 in 1 crib looked nice and could last a long time. The more storage and organizational for all things the better. Are you going to do a nursery theme? So excited for all the new changes.

I have a 13yr old Yorkie she is 4.5Ibs meant to be 7-9Ibs like parents and 3 siblings. She has to be in the same room as me and if I have a heating pad or heated blanket she wants to share. I was 16 when we got her (29 in Aug) now I’m chronically ill and I did school from home and I am often house bound so she’s never experienced me leaving her for a long time even if I go out on a good day it’s not long we are extremely bonded she now has chronic pain so I call her my pain buddy and we both use the heating pad for our pain. She is on a monthly injection for her pain and does well with it

I'll add my personal recommendation for splurge vs save! Splurge on cribs, matress, bassinet, convertible carseat and stroller. Think about where the baby will spend the most time, that's where I want good quality. Cheap cribs aren't solid wood and can splinter over time as the babies start jump in their crib and playing more. That being said, get the majority of it used! Facebook marketplace and consignment events like Rhea Lana are your best friend. Don't splurge on clothing, infant carseats, shoes when they can't walk, swings, bouncers, blankets, etc. I've always bought those things second hand and cheap, cheap, cheap. You can get super cute used clothes so cheap because babies grow so fast.

We used baby list. The app is really user friendly and gives you a list of what to register for (because I had no idea). We splurged on our rocker, car seat, and stroller! Most of the bigger items I got dupes of or borrowed from a friend. There is no wrong choice because honestly every baby is so different and so is every mama!!

Currently 38 weeks pregnant :) and I did two registries! I did target and Amazon. That way older family members could go into a store and shop rather than have to figure out ordering on Amazon. And, it turned out that they had such different selections it was the best of both worlds. Highly recommend. Also, a small perk was each company gave us a free gift for registering with them :)

In my opinion, save on a crib. Amazon or Target have great options. Just read reviews. Splurge on a good mattress for the crib. Another splurge, the stroller. One with good wheels (easy to turn, trust it’s a thing lol bad wheels that don’t turn are the worst) having a good stroller with good storage was a game changer for me. Being able to go on walks, grocery trips, etc made outings with baby less daunting.

Also, don’t need a changing table. Get a dresser with a changing pad and a diaper caddy!

Initial sticker shock, absolutely yes 😅 BUT having a car seat that’s easy to click in and out the car and just clicks right into the stroller is a GAME CHANGER. Like a non negotiable in my opinion. Especially having a larger under carriage so when you’re grocery shopping, you can just use the stroller and the seat doesn’t have to take up the entire shopping cart. Also, diaper bag, the internet makes it seem like you need a small carry on anytime you go anywhere. I got a small backpack from the bag section to fit the essentials and was way less than a regular diaper bag with the “mom tax” on it!

@@ClancyBurkeX also also, you can go to a lot of stores and “test drive” the strollers! Target and look up and local baby stores in your area so you can see, touch, feel before buying!

Splurge on a stroller! Especially with how much you walk and run errands! Facebook marketplace is great for baby things.

I was sent 😂😂😂 with the adoption joke that was hilarious!! It’s sad you have to immediately say your kidding cuz ppl don’t get your sarcasm cuz I get it and think it’s so funny but my hubby has a very dry sense of humor and I had to learn that a long time ago! We’ve been married 18 yrs and together 21 so I’ve learned it and love it and laugh a lot!!! ❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂

Please get a harness for Asher for when you take him on a walk. I would start working with him now on which toys are his especially stuffed ones . Otherwise he will be like my Romeo and steal all the babies stuffed animals. It will be cool to see the relationship that the baby and Asher will have growing up together best friends so exciting
