AFFILIATE LINK DISCLOSURE: Friends, making a quality Loloho video is kind of like making sausage - only slightly more violent. It's a ridiculous amount of work that typically involves high dollar camera drops, blue-screen-of-death computer crashes, and at least one angry shotgun wielding old man shouting, “Hey! Get the hell outta here!” Once the final video is posted, rewards here on KZfaq are few and far between (unless you are a masochist who enjoys being verbally abused by anonymous trolls). One saving grace is our affiliate links. JUST CLICKING THESE LINKS HELPS TO SUPPORT OUR LITTLE SHOW. Think of this clicking as like tipping - except that it doesn't cost you anything extra! If you eventually make a purchase via one of our affiliate links, we will receive a few pennies (and Sean typically invests these pennies in duct tape and video gear). Again, it doesn't cost you anything to click these links, and it's a great help to us. As always, safe travels, happy camping, and THANK YOU!

We loved tent camping. We had a amazing stet up, off the ground, great kitchen. Until I hit 50 and was ready for my own bathroom I knew it was time for an RV.

Excellent Sean! Our days of tent camping best ever, back then it was because of hauling a speed boat Water Skiing/Tubing with lots of Kids it was wonderful , now Shelly and I like our Dogs and the occasional grand child! Good times!

We too camped in a tent, but now that we own our very new Lance 1575 our tent days are truly over. Prior to our Lance was a 16 ft. Scamp, but now we love our Lance!

@rkecklin Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. After all this time, I still enjoy making the videos, especially when we get positive feedback from fellow campers.

Great video! I used to tent camp a lot when I was in my 20's! I've had an RV for the past 15yrs and haven't been "real camping" in years! Watching this video has motivated me to take out the old tent, and give it another shot, but im 56 now & I don't know if I can handle sleeping on the ground for a few days lol! Btw, i absolutely love your vids, you are so funny! Cheers

+roberto abrams Thanks Roberto! Yes, we still have our original tent, though we haven't used it in a long time. It would be fun to give it another shot and see how we fare. Live long and prosper!

You nailed it - I remember the freezing nights and the OMG sweating nights with the boys and a tent. I hope next year my teardrop and I can hit the road and enjoy all this country has to offer. You both have been a wonderful inspiration. Thank you :)

Wonderful video. A few years ago we were telling my brother in law about our plans to buy a trailer after we retired. He said "Why are you waiting? Life has no guarantees - if you want to do it, do it now." Sage advice. We did and have been happily camping in our TT for four years now.

I couldn't agree more. We used to tent camp a lot but as we're getting older we were done with crawling into muddy tents. We didn't want to buy an RV because we'd have to park it in some storage and that costs money and limits how spontaneous you can go on a trip. We also like to go way out where "no man has gone before" and that requires a rig with a bit more ground clearance, so we ended up with a pimped out custom teardrop behind a Jeep Wrangler. Quick question: which campground are you at in this video? Looks like it has a nice view and we're just planning a trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton so a location would be nice to know. Keep on "hitching up"! I'll be watching.

@headacherack Thanks, great analogy! I will remember that one. Oh, and the wine was a VERY nice gift from a fellow camper! (Much better than my usual fare, ha ha)

HI Sean, save that dryer lint! Yes, save it! Put it in empty toilet paper rolls, and it makes great fire starters. It really works!

@Libratarot We have friends in NV who teardrop camp and they love it! With regard to tents, it's a funny thing, but in a way the hardships are what make the memories!

Been enjoying your videos during school snow days! Also bought one of your books on my Kindle. We started out in a tent. My first Christmas gift to my now husband, then boyfriend was a tent. Now we have a pop up trailer and two kids. Last summer we went coast to coast in it. We hope to retire to an Airstream when kids are grown and gone.

Thanks Renee. We still own the first tent that we bought together. Who knows, maybe we'll do some camping in it this summer! We're thinking about doing some overnight hikes in the back country of Yellowstone. Thanks for your comment.

love you guys, and I have never even met you. In 5 years after I get my pension, I will be on the road. Meanwhile I am a weekend warrior....lol....Who knows, perhaps you will be on the road in 5 years. I hope to meet up with you sometime. Have a great time in any future wanderings.
