I understand you girl, my mom loved cooking for us. My only chores were doing the dishes and cleaning. I’ve never cooked at home and luckily enough, I was blessed to get a job that caters for us breakfast , lunch and supper. So even now as adult I don’t cook

Try the wooden chopping board and a wooden spoon 'cos a metal spoon scratches such pots badly. You boil the rice in water, once the water turns yellow, you pour it out, pour clean water, repeat for like 3 times. That's until your water is now clear. Then the last water you let it evaporate or burn in the rice, pour salt once the water is now no more, pour oil too... Easy otherwise if you don't change water you are eating starch!
