In this vlog I bring you a little more into my work and I explain how I downsized my company, slowed down, and became more present in my life. It was all necessary, especially now that I'm a mom to baby Madison, which I also now consider the most important job in my life.

I've been watching you for about a year now and was (still am) inspired by you as a interior designer and businesswoman. Because of you I found my love for restaurant design. And believe it or not I got my first restaurant project (full project) 4 months of being full-time entrepreneur. But the thing I couldn't find myself in was the big team and so much projects while being a mom. It's not realistic and I appreciate it so much that you share the reality behind this chaos and not sugarcoating it. Thank you do much Karin. I my twenties I was going no where in every direction. During this time I suffered from 6 breakdowns. In my thirty’s it was doing the research to not repeat the patterns of my 20’s in my 40’s ❤ I am learning the quality of life and how to live it , it is my season. I paved the way to an amazing life ❤. You too !! In fact I love what u do. I am practicing and polishing my efforts as a surface pattern designer. About downsizing, seeing you so happy and calm, proves it was the right thing to do and baby Madison is such a lucky girl to have a mom like you! This is great. I bet this feels so good to be able to be creative in another outlet that doesn't always require you to be everywhere and with so many people! Hi!! You were indeed missed but we are happy that you have joined our mommy universe. Welcome hon!! Being a professional and a mom is not easy but is a welcome challenge for so many of us. I downsized when I became a mom as I stepped away from multiple responsibilities to focus on my daughter. Best decision ever. I still have a successful professional life but can clearly see the positivity of my decision in her as she grows. High-five sista! I’m also an interior designer and entrepreneur. First of all, you’ll forever be a gorgeous mama and wonderful interior designer, Karin. This is one bold decision to make as I have made mine 3.5 years ago when I had my first child. Totally can relate what you’ve gone through, the hustle, the multitasking like an octopus in the creative industry and now the self realization to take it slow and truly breathe the scents of life especially with this beautiful bundle of joy in your arms. Nothing else could replace the sheer joy of raising your own child and being in the presence with her, essentially over these first few early years of a baby’s life. We could be earning a little less but in return what we gaining are priceless and almost eternal :) Cheering you on and kudos on the efforts on keeping your vlogs going! EVERYTHING you said resonates with me .. life goes by so so fast.... nothing wrong with hustle, it builds character and certainly builds a business ..but when you do take a beat as you said to be 'present' ... it is amazing what you discover and how what you value changes...for the better ! Great content - everyone loves to see a deep breath of the freshest air on the planet imho. REST is SO ok - I remember nursing and falling asleep on the floor with my daughter with a suit on. When I was pregnant I used samples and lay under my desk for a private nap in my second trimester. I wish I could have slowed down more. If I could be a bit motherly to you... don't burn out your adrenals - look up and use those adrenal formulas :) for long term health in the fast lane.

I get what you mean, I have 4 kids and have had to slow down between every birth. I have taken 2 years off for each child. There is a time for everything, this is the time to be a mother and that is completely okay. Believe me one day you might wake up and want to get out there and hustle harder than before. By that time your baby would have grown and gone off breastfeeding, gone to school etc. It's about having a balance and enjoying every moment. All the best.
