Woah, ok this is REALLY a small world… I was also born at 25 weeks, I weighed 1 pound and 13 ounces, AND I was born in Illinois, but my parents lived in CANADA at the time I was born, so I had to be flown there in a learjet in an incubator when I was 2 weeks old!

From a NICU mama I appreciate your dedication along with all the other nurses!! I know it sucks not drinking or eating or having a chance to sit, but you put our babies fighting for their lives first and that means the world to me!

I love children and baby’s and really want to become a nicu nurse one day, because The thought of helping them and trying to establish a strong happy future for them with their family is so heart warming to me. The thought of having this job just lights me up and makes me feel really warm inside!

Just wanted to state the fact that I know this job isn’t always easy or joyful all the time and is serious and I would have lots of responsibilities. I love baby’s and helping them is just something that I’d love to do through all the ups and downs.

Congratulations on becoming a nurse!! I was born 2 months premature and everyone in the NICU was so amazing. I'm 19 now and healthy thanks to all they did. Thank you for everything you do, you're amazing!!

As a mom of a pre term son who was born 6 weeks early i say thank you for your hardworking and dedication. I was a first time mom and the NICU nurses were so kind and amazing. My son was 3.8lbs. He is now 25 yrs old and 6foot. Keep up the great work you make a difference blessings

I was born at 26 weeks and stayed in the nicu for 10 weeks! Thank you to all NICU nurses! I’m now getting my BScN…hopefully I can one day work in the NICU for a full circle moment. (In the same hospital even!)

Such an inspiring video! I was born at 27 weeks weighing 1lb 11oz and in the hospital for 2 months. The nurses just like you helped me to successfully get to the point of going home happy and healthy 😊 I am now waiting to hear from the admissions committee to enter Nursing School. My goal is to be a pediatric nurse going into NICU. ♥️

I'm in x-ray school, I always love when we get to go up to the NICU for the baby x-rays even though sometimes they can be very sick

Even though we are not in the same state, it is the great NICU nurses like yourself that I am grateful for. I have a baby in the NICU who was born at 26 weeks in January 26, I wasn’t due until April. So seeing how caring and humble you are really makes me happy. I love seeing other nurses who really do love their job and truly care for the beautiful babies in the NICU . Thankyou for everything that you do ❤️

I just turned 22 and have been considering nursing school but I feel like I have fell behind a little bit by being so undecided with what I want to do with my life. Hey! I’m not in nicu, but I’m a new grad in peds. Med-surg is a specialty in itself and is great but isn’t for everyone and you certainly don’t “have” to start there. Everyone gets a lot of med surg in school typically, but it’s perfectly fine and encourage to apply in the area you’re passionate about! :)

I was born two months early and weighed 3 pounds and went without oxygen for an extremely unhealthy amount bc they didn’t think anything was wrong and now I have CP, low muscle tone, semi paralysis in my left leg, I have a brain tumor and a few other physical disabilities. My dream is to work in the special education Field or become a pediatric physical therapist.
