The sorting would be a good video to do as a Live you could answer questions as you go along 👍

Hi Keith, when im sorting bulk for my store (Imagine Bricks), i tend to go colour first then category, then element. I find i can get through bulk super fast and bag up the bulk by colour, i find it easier to sort colour there after. Really handy to have bulk colour available if you find yourself short in your inventory and need a part quickly.

Thanks for sharing your method. I'm not a fan of sorting into colour first as it seems to add an extra step and then I find it hard to spot things in all the same colour. I am finding the categories themselves useful for any stock issues that arise.

talking about stickerd peaces and stuff like that. Nubs select on KZfaq is doing that and OMG he has so so much lol he been going through it and adding lots to his bricklink , he has not lost his mind YET I don't think hahahaha. keep up the great work Keith and that bin had lots of little parts , that stuff takes a long time but worth it at the end .

You could add a timelapse next time with some music over you sorting :)

Thanks for the suggestion. If I did a Timelapse I'd put it in my main VLOG. The purpose of this video was for those who enjoy watching along as you discover items. Which would be missed with Timelapse.

I’d recommend quick sorting your bulk and selling it on. It sounds like bulk lego sorting isn’t what you enjoy doing. Sell it off and move on I recommend. Keep your energy high by doing other tasks that you love ;)

Might be something in that :) Not saying this is for me but I went to meet some sellers at a show and could not believe what those guys are making. Hope you're making good progress on your store.

Hello Keith it was me about the fake lego it was called gumi ,what you need is a strap on ice pack place it on your wrist and the circulation will do the rest or if you are sitting down place a bag of frozen peas on a plate (or ice pack) and put your wrist flat on it that will help you cooling down. Now sorting have you tried putting a couple of handfuls at a time on a small sorting tray then picking out the ones you want then discard the other pieces into a different box then repeat, i find that easier i find my eyes dont wonder as much looking into a big tub.

Thats right "gumi" its coming back to me now :) - some good tips for cooling down which I'll have to try, gets so hot and sticky here compared to "Up north". I do have a tray that I sometimes use to put smaller amounts on and may try more of that. I can see how a thinner spread of parts would make them "pop".

@@BrickArena Aye see you miss the north east we still have snow on the ground up here lol, yes you will find a smaller amount easier to sort,

Potential sale on some bulk items ? I shall have a conversation with my financial advisor and my storage officer 😉. As to sorting, I have enough trouble summoning the enthusiasm when I’m parting out new sets let alone anything else…..

I'll be trying to work on inventory and prices early this week, but if there is anything special you're looking at let me know, financial advisor permitting. Yeah sorting used can be tough going.

Can I ask how you manage registrations of *where* you store bulk using comment fields? Do you keep comment a combination of both small amount and large bulk like 'A0123xB456' where you have a small number in location A0123 and remaining bulk in B456?

I use a system whereby I have a large bulk bin for each colour or colour family, lack, white, LBG, DBG etc. For any items which do not fit in a drawer I put the overflow on the appropriate colour bin and simply add BB (for bulk bin) after the drawer number I. E A025 / BB
