VLOGMAS DAY 3 (& 4): Adopting my first cat!!

HAPPY VLOGMAS DAY 3 & 4!! I know I said I wasn't ready for a cat... but I got a cat hahah. The second the orange kitties got adopted, I was so sad and knew I would miss having a kitten around. Luckily little Siggi was waiting for her forever home, and found it with me!
ALSO, Sadly I realized I can NOT keep up with vlogmas (mostly because I didn't film in advance so I was trying to film each video the day of, edit, and post.) So moving forward, I'll be switching to Vlogmas weeks leading up to Christmas!

I definitely would avoid baths, it’s very uncomfortable and traumatic for them because of the kind of fur they have. Especially with kittens there’s also a risk that they get too cold when they’re wet. And they also just don’t need baths, they clean themselves really well and always smell clean. I would say only shower her when it’s absolutely necessary, like if she soils herself. Otherwise I highly recommend pet safe wipes :)

I've had cats all my life, and I have never given one a bath. I would not recommend it unless she gets really dirty somehow.

I’ve had cats that definitely loved getting baths but most of them don’t 😅 my current cat only gets bathed if he really needs it. But clipping their nails before bathing will help. I also get my litter from tractor supply, I use the pine pellets and definitely a money saver!! Congrats on your new fur baby, she’s so adorable and can’t wait to see her grow with y’all 🥹

I just recently found your channel and been loving your vlogs. It’s really hard for me to get into new creators on KZfaq and your video popped up on the first day of vlogmas and I put it in my watch later until today and now I’ve spent my morning binging your videos, obsessed. I don’t use Tik Tok so had no idea about you hahah but I’m happy to have found you here. Also side note, not all KZfaqrs pre record their vlogmas however they have their own editors usually.

They actually do not need baths! It's pretty traumatic for them, and their saliva has antibacterial properties so they truly do bathe themselves unlike dogs! The only occasion she would need a bath is if she got fleas or something :) she is so so adorable!

I hate to come off annoying or anything but string is really unsafe for cats. It has the potential to become stuck in a cat's stomach or intestines. String can create holes in a cat's intestines, also called perforation, and cause these organs to scrunch up and become damaged. I hope nothing but the best for you and Siggi! :)

Please do not bathe her, it is unnecessary and actually harmful. Also, please make sure you're feeding her kitten food and not cat food. I saw on your tiktok video you got adult cat food. She is very little so it can be a choking hazard and also kitten food has a higher nutrition content. Cats should have kitten food all the way up until they are one year old.

I did vlogmas 7 years ago when I was 15 ish, and I thought the same way. I truly believed people were filming and editing the same video on the day it was supposed to be uploaded..

I’m truly shocked people do this hahaha however not all creators do. I watch about 5 during volgmas and they all edit and film the same day BUT they have their own editors.
