I find it quite funny that he talks much faster in a foreign language than in his mother tongue 😅 It's so much easier to follow him when he talks english, than when he's talking in swiss german

Zumthor tiene la habilidad de exaltar la expresion de los materiales. No importa si es piedra, vidrio o madera, lo logra con una simplicidad formal, eso es un artista.

Does anybody know about that black material ? Maybe he skipped it !
@annarubas47244 жыл бұрын
I don’t know the English terms for it but it is actually a type of wood (Sperrholz) which was saturated with “Jutegewebe” so it would stay that way despite the Arctic weather, this whole thing was again coated with black “Kunstholz ( type of wood) on a PMMA Basis:)
@annarubas47244 жыл бұрын
*sorry, my mistake... it’s not black wood, it’s black fossil/natural resin!!
@MuhammadShafayetHossain4 жыл бұрын
@@annarubas4724 so the jutegewebe is attached with the wood by some kind of glue ?
@MuhammadShafayetHossain4 жыл бұрын
Do you know the name of that resin ? I used sharon fruit glue on wood for coating. Is it like that ?
@annarubas47244 жыл бұрын
Muhammad Shafayet Hossain Jutegewebe is completely natural, so in the beginning you secure it with some kind of wooden stakes... as time passes it will completely dissolve without any remains due to the natural weather conditions.
