They’re not being ignored, there’s just not enough being done. They can talk about it all they want - until they actually leave that country and take their prowess and money from America and bring it to Africa to re build, then nobody really cares, I suppose.

@@malaysiareed3214 Leaving America isn't the goal of many pan-african people. Establishing economic ties to the motherland, creating more joint institutions etc would be dope but we are American. A lot of our history is here in the U.S we are not seeking to be an ethnic minority elsewhere necessarily. What people call the birth of Pan-africanism was launched from the United States by a Jamaican. Black preople in the u.s have had significant and sustained investment in pan-africanism and have educated multiple other black groups on it's principles. It seems that while we are talking pan-africanism a lot of people are ignoring many of the people who have sustaining it for decades. We also can't ignore that black Americans received mockery from many Africans when we rocked our locs, fros, kente etc. Because colonization has indicated us all. I am more asking if the colonial ideas of our prosperity are keeping other Africans from including us in the ideas of unity we helped to create.
