This is the best analysis i have heard now. Park Hyo Shin is the King of Koreea !!!.....a real legend !! Hua Chenyu is the King of China...it is Singer China 2018...a real genius. If you are curios about such a voice ,analyze his performance in the competition,where he played his own songs. Hua Chenyu - Nunchucks Hua Chenyu - Fake monk Hua Chenyu - Qi tian Qi tian is the soundtrack from the success movie Monkey King, a chinese legend...the soundtrack is composed by Hua Chenyu. The Baby Bamboo chanel has all Hua Chenyu's songs translated into English.

Park Hyo Shin is a category in itself, he should be known worldwide, I have followed him for a long time, must admit to have found him as a fluke but I am now a real fan of his. Your next vocal analysis should be of the Queen of South Korean Vocals SoHyang, my recommendation would be I Have Nothing, at the DMC Festival, or if you are into gospel sounding performances “Everyone” should be your initial incursion into thus amazing singer.

You gave the most thorough technical analysis of his voice, approach and delivery. Thank you so much. He is quite special. I don't buy much music, but I have bought his stuff. So special especially given the current pop climate we are in.

Thank you for the good analysis! And I feel proud as a Soultree (that's the name of our fanclub) that you were moved in a way that you saw his deep connection with the song. That's his charm. Set all the technicalities aside (because I am not a pro on that aspect), everytime he sings, you could feel the emotion he wants to relay with the listeners. I would like to encourage you also to watch his musical performances available here on yt. Thanks!😊

Thanks for the video. It was very informative, interesting and helpful. Even though I'm not a singer, I understood everything you said. I would like more such videos. In the end he tried to hold on. It's a personal song for him. This is what real emotions look like - not those pretended like many singers do.

I happen to like a frontal placement in the mask, but I appreciate a back placement to. I understand people have their preferences. If I had a classical background, I'd probably be more about the back placement and low larynx singing. But I'm a pop fiend. I have a diverse taste, but I lean more toward the brighter tones or at least a chiaroscuro.

그의 감정은 그의 삶 그 자체였습니다. His emotions were his life itself. Park Hyo-shin decided not to sing because his life was so sad, painful and difficult. Then one day, I wanted to sing like crazy, so the song I made was Wildflower. 박효신은 자신의 삶이 너무 슬프고 고통스럽고 힘들어서 노래를 하지 않기로 했다. 그러던 어느 날 미친 듯이 노래하고 싶어서 만든 곡이 야생화였다. There is an anecdote that when former US President Clinton visited South Korea, former President Moon Jae-in invited Park Hyo-shin to a dinner party and sang wildflowers. 클린턴 전 미국 대통령이 한국을 방문했을 때 문재인 전 대통령이 박효신을 만찬에 초대해 야생화를 불렀다는 일화가 있다.

Excellent video as always! For this one I have a few comments: *I loved the audience! I could actually listen to the singer instead of a lot of yelling and screaming. *I don't remember if this is the first video where you don't point at the very begining the strong and weak points of the singer or if you stopped doing that a while ago, but I missed that part. *Also, I noticed that I had to turn up the volume in order to listen to the video you were analizing. It was a little bit low, though nothing that really bothered me. I apologize for any grammar mistakes. I'll stay tuned for more streamings and videos. See ya!

Could you analyze Freddie Mercury's vocals? His technique seems questionable to me and no vocal coach ever really talks about his potentially unhealthy techniques such as veins popping out of the neck from tension and vibrato being influenced from tension since it's irregular?

Hello Zach, I am new to your channel. Really great video, both in terms of explanation of the analyzes and also the reaction (even though it was not your first time). I hope you dig more into South Korean music and live performances in particular, as they seem to offer something really great in terms of being able to move you - even though not knowing the language or what they are singing about. Plus I also love the reaction of the audience which they often incorporate into a video when singing live (not showing so much in this, but you will find some TV-shows with live performances), which I find a bit different and often more emotional compared to us in the west (maybe I am wrong, so this is just a personal opinion from what I have been exposed to). By the way, have you heard female singer So Hyang (Sohyang) singing "Bridge Over Troubled Water" live version yet - if not then please react and analyze: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eZyZe8tl3qjcc6M.html

Interesting stuff as always Zach. I'm not really sure about the new "big Zach, small singer" editing configuration though. I totally get why you do it, but I think that with your skills you have no reason to make your videos look like those of most of the other "vocal coaches". Think about it. At the end of the day, from an educational point of view, it makes much more sense to see the singer's face in more detail than yours. No offence, you know I love you. But seeing the singer in such a small thumbnail gets kinda hard
@ZachAnsley
@ZachAnsley 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback, dude. I'm trying out some new things to see what sticks. Hence the new look, new lighting, new thumbnails, etc. To grow more than I already have I am going to have to make some concessions that I don't necessarily want to make, but I'm going to base it completely on what works and what doesn't.

A possible option may be something like what Freya Casey seems to have used during her review of Dimash's Slavic Bazaar SOS (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sJ2jqdaGzqyvh3k.html), where the reviewer gets the smaller inset-screen until she begins speaking, at which point the entire screen switches to her until she stops again, at which point she goes back to the smaller screen. Of course, it's always best for the reviewer to pause the performer's video when she is commenting, rather than simply speaking over the performance, and with whatever Freya was using, when the performance is paused, the entire screen again reverts to the reviewer.)
