I saw that all the comments bellow are telling you that he is actually an insane rapper, so I won't add to that, but I wanted to add something else that might explain to you why he is so good at singing. Jooheon has been writing music since he was a teen, so he writes songs and produces tracks for Monsta X and other groups. This means that he has to sing the guide track for those songs he writes in the desired vocal tone, (or at least close to it) and expression that the finished song is suppose to sound like. I think this has given him a LOT of practice over the years, + his knowledge of music and composition makes him very knowledgeable on how to control his voice. And also a lot of practice and dedication of course. Anyway, again thank you so much for reacting!

It's always great to see Jooheon show that kpop artists shouldn't need to be labeled as a one-trick pony... like vocalist or rapper.

And this is the MAIN RAPPER on Monsta X. He still amazes be at how freaking angelic his voice is. No one should write him off just because he is rapper. He can also write and and produce like some of the other members of Monsta X. Monsta X’s members are multi faceted. Also, you should check out Wonho’s new songs- “Loosing you (English version)” the version uses for the official music video. Warning in advance- you will tear up during Loosing You. And his official debut song “Open Mind”. Monsta X has an entire English album and they have a few other songs that are English. And they kill it in English just like the kill it in Korean and Japanese. You really need to listen to Monsta X’s “ Lost in the Dream”

He's one of two rappers in Monsta x. Recently Joohoney an IM have been getting more singing parts in songs. They both have amazing singing voices. When I heard IM sing in Middle of the night I was blown away. I hadn't seen this video from Joohoney before watching this reaction so it was a surprise for me to hear him sing like this. I love getting to hear them sing. He's a very talented artist. They all are.
