Her singing high notes NEVER sounded like a SCREAM.. Unlike a LOT of Singers Now here in the Phils who thought that Good Singing means Hitting HIGH NOTES BELTING AND ALWAYS SOUND SCREAMING IF ONLY THEY WUD PATTERN THEIR SINGING WITH THAT OF LEA.. THEN THEY WUD BE REMEMBERED FOREVER

It always amuses me when I see "vocal coaches" reacting to and then analyzing Leah Salonga singing - Should probably be the other way around, Tony winner analyzing vocal coaches, if at all.

I enjoy this women singing. I try to learn from her phrasing, her control, and dedication to the arts. It's a pipe dream to actually sing a song with her. I also enjoy your breakdown of her singing this song. My granddaughter listens to this version of Let it Go.

Eventually, that's her first time singing that song live. But currently, she now masters the song with less mix of head and chest. Hope you react to that one too.

I appreciate the way you're analyzing her performance here because you're highlighting both her weak and strong points. I remember she made a comment years ago in a Google fan group about her signing technique, and said that she actually studied classical singing, not because she wanted to be an opera diva, but to strengthen her singing in musical theater. So that she could belt those high notes with much ease. Because from what I remember, the fans were discussing about the singing technique of other singers/belters, and some of them just scream those high notes and don't sound good at all. Also I've always been curious about Lea's voice type and range. I'd like to believe that she's a light lyric soprano. But I've been reading comments saying that she is actually lyric Mezzo-soprano so I'm quite confused. Is she a lyric mezzo or a lyric soprano? Thanks!

It was the last song she sang after singing several at the Globe Telecom event that year. It must have been too tiring to her voice without taking a break. We can only admire how she sustained those high notes. Perhaps when she sang this song in the beginning and doing Reflection at the end, it would have been different.
