Great reaction to Mori, Dounia. I just want to chime in to comments I usually hear about great artists from Asia and why they don't go "mainstream" to the USA. In my opinion, the point of popularity is not necessarily for the mainstream but obviously world recognition is ideal. In an asian perspective, Asia has over 4.5B population compared to less than 6M in the North America (combined). So demographics alone is enough for any Asian to be succesful and comfortable to not persue the mainstream USA. I am certain that Mori is popular in UK, Middle East and obviously Asia.

Don't get too caught up in the huge data dumps about Morisette the super-boosters are gonna drop in your comments. The performances speak for themselves. The one fun bit of trivia I did love when I heard about it though was that she's jointly named after Alanis Morisette and Johann Sebastian Bach (because her actual first name is Johanne, and her middle name, Morisette, is her stage name). That was more fun than hearing about which singing contests she's won, or her many nicknames. 😂
