Another great reaction Ken. All of your Morissette reactions are from performances recorded a number of years ago. I think you should hear some more recent covers to see her progression as an artist. Like others I would recommend Fly Like a Bird a Mariah Carey cover. This is not a live performance but it really incredible. Mori also has a theater background and has just released a Live Sessions cover of Defying Gravity from the musical Wicked. I think you and your subscribers will really appreciate these two.

What is also crazy is that you can find fan vids of outside the bus for many of her performances. They play her live to the outside audience. The performances are spot on with the wishbus release which are typically released a month after the actual performance.

First of all look at her response to the first notes of the lead in to the vocal, those smiles are real, she is getting ready to do the thing God put her here to do, then she draws inward collects itself, straightens her posture, then she becomes very sober as she readies her self for the total commitment she gives every song no matter the audience. Then in the last few seconds, you she her relax and release any tension that might be there, because she knows tension is the enemy of her best performance. Ken before I forget, you HAVE TO react to her performance of 'Fly Like A Bird' it is sublime. It is a quarantine presentation, it is none the less a "live" performance. There is no auto-tune I have been told this by other reactors and commentors. So if you don't feel the same way I want to know what things would be a clue to the use of it. This is a Mariah Carey song that when Mariah sang it live in 2004-6 at the Grammy's. She was proclaimed as the best vocalist ever. So maybe the best thing would be to hear that version first.Then listen to Morissette's and you be the judge. I have to tell you I was sobbing by the end, but maybe I'm a soft touch. I gave you a chance at becoming one of my regular reactors because I am skittish about vocal coaches as reactors, because they talk too much. You are a breath of fresh air. Not only don't you talk too much but when you have something to say you say it and get on with it. I can also tell you are a fan, just by how speak about the artists. What impresses me on Morissette is that she sings a difficult song like Never Enough being sitting! The second thing that impresses me the most is that she sings without demonstrating any effort to do so. It looks like she's calm in a park, just singing. Both in the higher notes and in the lower notes, Morissette sings with the same quality and excellence. She has a stupendous control of her voice. Very few singers have so many vocal qualities as Morissette has. She really is anything out of this world.

Do you remember the movie "Chariots Of Fire"? One runner Eric Liddle when her ran his head would tip back and for him he was running for God as it was a gift that God gave him so he was allowing God to use him for whatever purpose He had. When you mentioned her head tipping back it reminded me of that movie. I know Morissette is a religious person. So it is not a stretch to believe that thanks to God for her ability would cross her mind. It's a thought.
