@@X3MAnticsI think it’s normal for fans of someone from the early days to ride hard for them. Because we all want to see him succeed and get the recognition he deserves. Noah Kahan’s music has quite literally saved some people’s lives. He writes about real, raw emotions and uncomfortable situations. So I think that adds to people going so hard for him. And I don’t blame them. He’s a great artist with immense lyrical talent.

Never heard of Noah before this cover. I really loved her Cover but after listening to the Original, its clear which one is the cover. Noah sings this SO phenomenally and knows how to put the emotion and soul into it in a way you just dont hear in a cover. just amazing

stick season (we'll all be here forever) is the best album i think i've ever listened to. noah is such an inspo when it comes to my writing and style. so excited to see that olivia covered one of my favorite artists songs. oh and side note, his last name is pronounced as "con" :)

I’m not a huge fan of Olivia’s music, but wow, her voice is incredible. Very few have been able to give this song justice and not have it sound super generic. Very pretty voice, she needs to do more folk.

omg so happy u brought up making the bed. it’s one of my faves frm guts and i loved it at first listen but the way she sang the kinda talky verses def threw me off a lil bit, diff frm what shes done before, at least to this extent. so when i listened to stick szn (after she covered it) my first thought was it was def an inspiration for making the bed 😂❤️❤️

I believe Olivia said she decided to do a cover of the song after hearing Maisie Peters do a cover of it. So I don't think she was aware enough of Noah's music to be influenced by it previously. Maybe she will be now though!

Noah’s album is amazing. Just before seeing this performance I saw an interview where Olivia shouted him out as a current favorite artist and having been to a recent show and meeting Noah. Generally I think this performance shows Olivia has the ability to cross genres. My only comment is I think the tempo, which matches Noah’s pretty closely, is a little too fast at times bc I think it would fit her even better if it was a hair slower and you could hear the subtle transitions a bit more. As an aside, Noah’s previous albums were more pop leaning and his change to a more folk sound is a huge improvement. To me there are a lot of Bon Iver (Justin Vernon) moments in his vocals which is no surprise as he has referenced being influenced heavily by him growing up.

I am so sick. And. Tired. Of people saying Olivia is influenced by or copies every single artist. The girl is a phenomenal songwriter leave her alone! There’s something called genres… There’s something called only 12 notes, and only so many combinations of those notes ! She falls into certain genres that other people also happen perform.
