OG VIDEO: • Skid Row - Wasted Time...
ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it's true. So what's motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn't an easy time but I won't let fear dictate my life. I didn't think 'why me', there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it's not always smooth sailing. It's true when you hear, 'Life is short', the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It's so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?
Also thank you for all your support. It means a lot.
Subscribe to Rebecca Vocal Athlete to get inspired by new videos!
Have a great day!!
Rebecca

I don't know if anyone commented about this, but i was lucky to be backstage for a show. Sebastian used his 'warmup' as entertainment for the fans & crew. He started with 'Summer Breeze', worked through 6 or 7 other songs, and finished going note for note with the radio ...which i think was playing 'Sympathy for the Devil'. A very nice guy, and a very talented singer. I'm sorry that I didn't get to see him on Broadway.

IMO one of the toughest songs ever to sing live (full out). You will be physically exhausted by the end. Sebastian has (had) a true gift. I've seen him perform live 3 times and he (usually) never cheats a note. He digs deep, grabs the mic with both hands and lets it rip. Quite a sight and sound to behold.

Was wondering when you'd get to reviewing this song, Seb Bach had a bulletproof voice back in the day and this song showcased all his range. According to his book, he said something like he recorded these vocals and was pretty much exhausted vocally after, strained, and while James Hetfield of Metallica was watching in the studio, so wanted to prove to him and give it his all for the track. And I very much doubt protools was used to clean it up, unlike a lot of todays 'singers'

The best Rocksinger in time with one of the greatest Powerballads in time, timeless superb. One in a million. The bloody rest of skid row is nothin without him. He was always the shining star and golden voice, full of talent and till now unreachable!!!

He brought a lot to this song. It was written about his friend, Steven Adler, as he descended further into heroine addiction. Sebastian is genuinely angry and sad. The emotion is in the DNA of the song and you can't help but feel it.

That was unbelievable! His voice is incredible!!! He is the best vocalist for music like this! That ending is so emotional and the pain and delivery was just mind blowing!! I've heard this song hundreds of time throughout the years and it gives me chills everytime it never gets old! You should also listen to Quicksand Jesus and Monkey Business have amazing vocals from Sebastian and I've been wanting you to do a video on a band called Acid Bath please don't let the name throw you off the singer Dax Riggs has the most beautiful unique haunting effortless amazing voice that I've ever heard. How he sings is so emotional and the pain in his delivery is so hypnotizing the song Scream of the Butterfly and graveflower and Bleed me an Ocean are some amazing songs that show his beautiful range and ability but the first song you should listen.to from them is called Dead Girl from the album Paegan terrorism tactics his vocals are phenomenal and again don't let The name scare you off its an acoustic song trust me you will thank me for introducing me

This powerful and emotional outpour about his friend gone awry really grabs me and envolops my soul. I can feel his anguish conveyed by all his vocal prowess and it evokes those emotions within me and makes me think of those in my life who also struggle with addiction. Such a timeless and magnificent vocal, and musical, display. You're right, we are indeed lucky.

The emotion on the vocals in this song is amazing ...you can hear the pain and desperation in his screams ..and that scene in the video he kneels down as he keeps on screaming the lyrics with a hurtful face ... holy shit ..amazing Song and Vid !!! ..it brings tears and pain to the people that identifies and may have someone close struggling with some kind of pain or agony and is unable to seek for help !! you would have to be dead not feel the emotion on this track..
