As someone who was born and raised in Southern California I can tell you she speaks perfect English with a Southern California accent.. I don’t think you are hearing a Norwegian accent in her singing I just think that is the way she chooses to sing it..

Angelina is known for saying words different with a different emphasis on different parts of the word to fit her thoughts on the song. She even will sing the same word different in the same song.

As a Norwegian, I can hear the Norwegian in the English. We also have different dialects all over the country just like you have. When Angelina was young she didn't talk good Norwegian. I guess that's because her mom and grandma speak it with a foreign dialect. And they were always traveling so she didn't have anyone speaking clear Norwegian. But that young lady learned it fast 👍

None of this is challenging to Angelina, especially passages that require breath stamina. Just listen to her sing I'd Rather Go Blind when she was aged 12. There is one passage where she's belting full of voice for 16 seconds without a breath! I've timed it. Keep in mind, Angelina EMULATES other vocalists' voices while paying homage. But listen to her Originals and those qualities that she puts in there while paying homage to other artists songs aren't there. She is completely her own vocalist.

I've listened to both Adele and Angelina sing this song. I agree with Peter Stadelmeier. I find Angelina to have a smoother, softer, and more intimate delivery.

Each of us are individuals and have tones and pitches which we love and those we find irritating. I can listen to Angelina sing all day and there are times when Adele's voice irritates me. I have no doubt there are many who have the opposite opinion. What we all have in common is our love of music. I believe it's because as great as Adele is, she is a 'Pop' singer, whereas Angelina is a true 'Jazz' specialist. He breaks down this song, section by section, and shows you how Angelina's vocals are much 'warmer' than Adele, which coincides with what I said. What is truly remarkable concerns the fact that he shows how Angelina actually out belts the powerful Adele in the power sections of the song. This is mind boggling when you realize experts say that her lungs won't be fully developed until she reaches her mid 20's.

But Angelina can sound do incredibly differently from performance to performance, so she can sound pretty much like Adele if she chooses to. 16 hours ago, Angelina released her Christmas EP containing 5 songs. 4 of them are taken from her 2021 digital Christmas concert, but the last one is completely new. And AGAIN she shows us something different vocally. After 10 years of listening to her I have never heard her so smooth and velvety. That dude playing the piano is Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California, and he has been working with AJ since she signed with the largest record company in the world at the age of 14, two years ago. Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? But no, I'll fight you right now, no problem. 😋 Adele has a noticeably sharper voice, Angelina a warmer voice. Very similar otherwise for sure, but that's the main difference. It's always there too. Put em side by side man. Angelina utilizes breathiness more, but I'm not talking about that, a lot of similar content out there to compare. Like much of this song.
