Bruno Mars is at the point in his career, where he doesn't give a f**k about trends. He sings what he likes and is brave enough to be a TREND SETTER! His vocal talent is undeniable, and he is one of the few singers today that is a true ENTERTAINER, in every sense of the word! Hes been on stage since he was 3 years old, and I am proud to say that he's one of Hawaii's most famous sons.

@@BijinMCMXC Say that one more time for the ppl in the back lol! His first two albums were a medley of different genres he and his band of writers enjoyed. His third album was the first time we had Bruno hone in on a sound or vision that informs the entire track list. Even then 24k Magic's sound wasn't a trend to hop on. Bruno's always been pretty authentic. Same could be said for Anderson.

Actually if you read through the replies to this comment and also the other comments too you'll realise there is a lot of love for Anderson .Paak too (is that dot for real?). Like most others, it seems, I simply hadn't heard his name before, though I don't keep up with modern music really. In fact, I've only heard the name Bruno Mars but didn't really know his stuff. Having heard some snippets of Mars' older stuff, it's not really my thing and I find his voice a bit reedy. But THIS song has been blowing me away ever since I heard it on the radio. Now to see what I think is a tongue in cheek performance when they first did it live (in brown suits) and especially on this video, well, I just can't stop playing it. Very funny, kind of sending themselves and old soul groups up and yet at the same time the quality of the performance both musically and vocally is simply off the scale. It's a proper homage, not to 70s cfunk" but to 70s soul music I think. Bands like The Chi Lites, Stylistics, Tavares come to mind. Somebody else mentioned The Jacksons and I get that too. Quite simply, this is brilliant. I do imagine that Mars has been really working on extending his range and style. If it's is what Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak are capable of then please, give me more. Much more!

When will ya’ll admit that Bruno Mars is probably the only male solo artist who is consistently delivering amazing music, and also his incredible vocals, I can say he’s the best male solo artist in our generation. Too bad he got attacked and trashed just because he beats Melodrama by Lorde in 2018. And now he’s collabing with one of the musical genius Anderson Paak, this album will be a fucking classic.

@@someguy4046 Bruno is on a different calibre than most artists nowadays, especially when it comes to those who are always in the spotlight when they drop something. Bruno can go a wall for a few years then drop something out of blue and people are all over it. Not just because it's Bruno Mars, but because it's good music all around. Lyrically, vocally, instrument wise, and production wise, and entertainment wise he just doesn't miss. I rarely see that in other artists nowadays, not to mention he's kept this up for 10+ years now.
